hi can i hav a question?? which should go first in a pedal board if you have a multiple effects and some analog pedals in ur set? bcoz in my set i put the multi effect frst then the rest of the analog or the pedals, is it ok?
Hey MAn nice vid but could u help I just bought a g2.1nu processor and a Morley Steve vai bad horsie wah pedal how do I like.... Connect them srry I'm kind of a noob at connecting
this is my favourite video of your rig! It is the simplest and the cheapest: cheap head cheap boss and behringer pedals, but it sounds awesome, indeed!
Just a question: what do you think about the crunch channel of the valve king? Cheers
@uomoscozzese Great! Last question: I'm looking foward to buy this amp but the 112 combo version. Do you think the lead and the clean channel aren't so good by having just one speaker? Is the ds 1 going to sound close to what it sounds there? Cheers
@miguelpessanha91 my friend has theone speaker version and for me the amp still has alot of bass and grunt, i wouldn't bother with the ds-1 for gain when you have the amp gain, id get an sd-1 boss or some kind of overdrive to push the amp as it will sound better and more organic. in this video the ds-1 sounds so good cos it was going to amp simulators etc from the GT
youhave a bunch of shitty pedals. get some good ones and you won't need the noise supressor. btw, it can only cut the pedal noise if it's after the pedals. you are simply using the ns2 asa gate, and all the noise is there when you're playing.
The NS-2 is used to cut down amp fuzz when your not playing especially if you have a high gain setting. Its not working if you have your dials set on zero! lolololololzzzzzzz
wrong..... if you place the ns-2 to the input it cuts down pickup hum and pedal noise, if you place it before the amps preamp in the loop it cuts amp hiss, either way with the threshold and decay set at zero it still interacts with the signal and reduces noise.... do some research eh.. i have ;)
the fx loop place time based effects after the preamp section of the amp, then sends it to the power amp to be amplified.... if u put delay straight to the input of an amp it wont delay the amps distrotion efficiently
wow thanks for the info! Also, I've got a jamman looper pedal too. Would it be better to put that somewhere in the amp's FX loop with all my other time based FX as well? ??
I like the way you explain everything, but i'm a beginner in pedal board thing..
i just bought 3 pedals right now.. DS-1, two FAB pedals w/c is Metal and Overdrive. I think i still need many things to have this kind of pedal board thing. All i want to know is what's the use channel selector?
I have a question, I don't use a distortion pedal for my amp. I find the tone I get from my amps distortion is suitable, so how do I set up my pedals? I have a Jimi Hendrix Wah, a Chorus, a Univibe, and a MXR Phase 90. How should I set up my line of pedals?
this is an old setup that i don't use anymore, also i wanted to suppress the distortion pedal noise not all the effects, that would ruin modulation otherwise
OK ! If you change your set-up, it's ok, because (i didn't want to say that, but I don't like the sounds) I think you can have beautifull sounding with a half of all this. Keep on Rockin' Man
if you check my video, "new pedalboard rig" that has all that i use now, the boss line selector is good for switching from lots of pedals with one pedal but its not a booster, i use a mxr micro amp pedal in the effects loop to boost the volume for solos
such a strong funny awesome accent , you should also do some Napalm Death hits!!! HAHA xD awesome, btw NICE equipment its like you could play searching but some seem to be missing
Yes, we can hear the lack of distortion. You don't have to empashize it that much. Wait, so you have all of the pedals running through the NS, and then into the preamp? I need to get a noise supressor then, cause my pedal hum like crazy.
Realy great vid mate!! I got the gt8 and im trying to set the bloody thing up!!this vid as made me look at it differently..the distortions are not the best on the gt8 so setting it just for effects and add external dist stomps could help with my sound..why dont you put the dry sound through the loop??wouldnt this be better?? thanx for the inspiration mate!!
Put the Multi effects through the effect loop, and put the dirt through the front of the head? havent tried this my self but its ment to be better,,???????
yes puting the effects through the amps loop and puting distortion boxes into the amps input is what i do now but my old setup required me to put the pedals through the gt-6 preamp and speaker simulators that emulated a good amp rather than using a real amp like i do now. it was a complicated setup, good cos it was portable. i now use a gt-10 and peavey jsx for the distortion
the way he set it up is correct as the distortion pedals are in the ns2's loop.
you're basically correct if the ns2 wouldn't have its loop but would be just a noise supressor with in and out. but i think he explained the loop wrong as the DS1 seems to sit after the SD1 and not vice versa as explained. but that shouldn't matter to much. the principle shown is correct.
no..... putting your line though the input of the ns would decay and ruin the signal/sustain, your meant to put the noisy pedals through the ns loop to supress their low frequency hum rather than supressing the full chain of effects...........................at least one of us has learnt something
thanks, its even better now as i have just finished changing all the matal hardware to official ibanez chrome parts. ive posted a short video since completion
Its a bit unfair of these people taking the piss out of your accent. Stupid people.
I liked the video and the use of the noise gate is very cool. Though I have to say using the chain as is, is a waste of the gt6. Its an awesome tool and can do everything you're trying to achieve with the seperate pedals.
I am using the same setup with a Fender Deluxe Strat... It's kinda difficult to get the same sound though... Do you have any suggestions for Stratocaster players?
I got bored at 3 minutes. It'd be easier just to type the signal chain in the info box instead of verbally explaining it. Unless your performing a song it's best to make demos as quick as possible. Sorry but I just don't have time to listen to all 8 minutes. BTW - You must play the bagpipes? Hoot mon!
in terms of setting up your "preamp" on the gt6, what settings do you use? have you thought about using the 4 cable method and running you're delay in the fx loop of the amp? just curious thats all.
i set the preamp eq straight up dials, as for the 4 cable method that is what i use with my jsx amp head, check out my jsx rig video to see how i use my gear like you mentioned
i found it hung up in a shop 2 years ago in italy all a mess. i paid 700 euro although ive spent more on fixing a re-fitting parts like the floyd rose and swithces. its a 97'
the problem with cutting the balls off is when you tune up you can cut or stick the sharp strings end in you fingers so i stopped cutting them as it wasn't needed.
