  • hi can i hav a question?? which should go first in a pedal board if you have a multiple effects and some analog pedals in ur set? bcoz in my set i put the multi effect frst then the rest of the analog or the pedals, is it ok?

  • @bellsharmonyify multi effects in the amps loop, and analog pedals into amps input

  • Hey MAn nice vid but could u help I just bought a g2.1nu processor and a Morley Steve vai bad horsie wah pedal how do I like.... Connect them srry I'm kind of a noob at connecting

  • @iamafreebird100 guitar>wah>amp input

  • HY PEOPLE, LOOK THIS , Tribute to the 96th anniversary of les paul, bach digital in Google ferrament: /watch?v=PfO8dl9W-ZM.

  • GT sex?

  • Cool guitar and Cool song ;D

  • woah nehhsie, where's ma magic thestle whestle!?

  • you could consider adding a tube screamer to your chain.

  • GT SEX!

  • Yes the GT sex is awesome

  • why connecting de pedals trough the external of the gt 6 instead put the pedals into the input of the amp and the gt 6 in the fx loops?

  • this is my favourite video of your rig! It is the simplest and the cheapest: cheap head cheap boss and behringer pedals, but it sounds awesome, indeed!

Just a question: what do you think about the crunch channel of the valve king? Cheers

  • @miguelpessanha91 i liked the crunch on the valveking altho needs an overdrive pedal to push the amp and compress the boomy bass for solos

  • @uomoscozzese Great! Last question: I'm looking foward to buy this amp but the 112 combo version. Do you think the lead and the clean channel aren't so good by having just one speaker? Is the ds 1 going to sound close to what it sounds there? Cheers

  • @miguelpessanha91 my friend has theone speaker version and for me the amp still has alot of bass and grunt, i wouldn't bother with the ds-1 for gain when you have the amp gain, id get an sd-1 boss or some kind of overdrive to push the amp as it will sound better and more organic. in this video the ds-1 sounds so good cos it was going to amp simulators etc from the GT

  • if you lose your accent it'll be perfect

  • I hav Hardwire Pedals ... But I want dat " GT SEX" !!lol!! :P

  • @EkonEzung GT as in gay transexual?

  • I used to have boss pedals until I figured out there are 1,000's of other companies that make way better pedals..

  • @djbro16 depends the sound that you want... But Boss have great pedals

  • I love your accent mate!

  • Wow, I need to get myself a "GT-Sex" too. :D

  • GT-Sex must be one helluva guitar processor! :)

  • not trying to be rude but r those girls pants?

  • I didn't know they made white JS1000s? Is it a custom paint job or what?

  • @NathanKRobinson its an original 97' year js1000, ive upgraded all the parts with offical parts, was well worth it

  • youhave a bunch of shitty pedals. get some good ones and you won't need the noise supressor. btw, it can only cut the pedal noise if it's after the pedals. you are simply using the ns2 asa gate, and all the noise is there when you're playing.

  • The NS-2 is used to cut down amp fuzz when your not playing especially if you have a high gain setting. Its not working if you have your dials set on zero! lolololololzzzzzzz

  • wrong..... if you place the ns-2 to the input it cuts down pickup hum and pedal noise, if you place it before the amps preamp in the loop it cuts amp hiss, either way with the threshold and decay set at zero it still interacts with the signal and reduces noise.... do some research eh.. i have ;)

  • lololz i didn't know you were using it for that, what a waste your better of getting a proper power brick.

  • doesn't matter this is my old setup, i no longer use the ns-2

  • Nice review mate..:-)

  • Hi!

Could you please discribe your pach for pre-amp on gt-6??

    thanks!! nice ibanez!!

  • What's the effect/benifit of having an FX loop on an amp? Signal purposing?

  • the fx loop place time based effects after the preamp section of the amp, then sends it to the power amp to be amplified.... if u put delay straight to the input of an amp it wont delay the amps distrotion efficiently

  • wow thanks for the info! Also, I've got a jamman looper pedal too. Would it be better to put that somewhere in the amp's FX loop with all my other time based FX as well? ??

  • yeah put it in the loop

  • @uomoscozzese what would happen if i put a delay straigh in to the input without loop.

  • itll delay the guitar and not the amps tone, will sounds strange but some ppl like the effect it brings

  • Hi, im Ian from phil.

I like the way you explain everything, but i'm a beginner in pedal board thing..

i just bought 3 pedals right now.. DS-1, two FAB pedals w/c is Metal and Overdrive. I think i still need many things to have this kind of pedal board thing. All i want to know is what's the use channel selector?

  • i use the amps channel pedal to change the amps channels

  • I have a question, I don't use a distortion pedal for my amp. I find the tone I get from my amps distortion is suitable, so how do I set up my pedals? I have a Jimi Hendrix Wah, a Chorus, a Univibe, and a MXR Phase 90. How should I set up my line of pedals?

  • guitar> wah> amp

chorus, mxr, univibe into the amp effetcs loop

  • omg are you robby kreigers son

  • i like how you explain everything

  • thanks ;)

  • This guy's accent is AWESOME!!!!

  • good

  • recomendacion: conecta tus efectos en el in de los efects loops y asi no se te adelgasa el sonido de la guitarra!!

  • Nice setup. I've never heard the GT6. I have a gt8 and it is great.

  • I think you got a very good sound. I really like the part in the end, the satriani sound. What effect do you use on the gt-6 in that part.

  • gott two questions for u ... do u use any of the amp head distortion and does the pedal distortion constitutes a problem when u mix it with amp?

  • i used the clean only from the mp. i no longer use this setup thanks

  • hey dude, i love your guitar! is it JS series?

  • yeah js1000

  • behringer stomps man...are you serious... far out...

  • Im thinking of buying a js1000 but I cant find a white pearl anywhere ...unless I want to pay 1000 above the retail

  • they stopped making them in 97' and cost £2000 and up, its a hunt finding one

  • I don't understand why you put your NS first ! Why don't you use it in the loop of the GT6 ? I Think it will be more effective....

  • this is an old setup that i don't use anymore, also i wanted to suppress the distortion pedal noise not all the effects, that would ruin modulation otherwise

  • OK ! If you change your set-up, it's ok, because (i didn't want to say that, but I don't like the sounds) I think you can have beautifull sounding with a half of all this. Keep on Rockin' Man

  • i hate noise gates....they don't allow sustain without hiss creeping in......

    very annoying....

try holding a chord with this setup...and see what i mean....

  • thats a noise suppressor not a gate.

  • the bit where you say

"and it sounds like shit" but its quite funny

  • Your accent took me by surprise. It made the video a lot easier to watch, because of the familiarity.

Nice set up - you get quite a nice sound out of this

  • this video is photoshopped

  • i used vista editing tool

  • Hi! doesn0t the noise suppressor Eat your final signal of the guitar?!?

  • it did a little, this is my old setup though

  • what do you have now? do you know if the lne selctor from boss is good? can you use it as a booster?

  • if you check my video, "new pedalboard rig" that has all that i use now, the boss line selector is good for switching from lots of pedals with one pedal but its not a booster, i use a mxr micro amp pedal in the effects loop to boost the volume for solos

  • ARE U FROM MEXICO OR SOMETHIN???

  • goodane im from scotland

  • Mexico? ._.

  • scotland buddy

  • Yeah, haha, I just thought it was an odd question.

  • Sounds like an Edinburgh accent but I could be wrong? lol. I lived there for a while, better than England.

  • haha, gt seks xD It's a norwegian word

  • gt sex

  • kampanggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

    peler lu yaahhh

  • bad idea standing in front of the windoww

  • such a strong funny awesome accent , you should also do some Napalm Death hits!!! HAHA xD awesome, btw NICE equipment its like you could play searching but some seem to be missing

  • generally people who live further north have a deeper tonality to their voice also im from scotland so i automatically sound like im ready for war

  • HAHAHAHAHHAHA xD thats awesome

  • ryan dunn!!

  • what does that mean? who is he??

  • bams freind from viva la bam

  • Yes, we can hear the lack of distortion. You don't have to empashize it that much. Wait, so you have all of the pedals running through the NS, and then into the preamp? I need to get a noise supressor then, cause my pedal hum like crazy.

  • Realy great vid mate!! I got the gt8 and im trying to set the bloody thing up!!this vid as made me look at it differently..the distortions are not the best on the gt8 so setting it just for effects and add external dist stomps could help with my sound..why dont you put the dry sound through the loop??wouldnt this be better?? thanx for the inspiration mate!!

  • this is my old setup, what do you mean about putting my dry sound through the loop?

  • Put the Multi effects through the effect loop, and put the dirt through the front of the head? havent tried this my self but its ment to be better,,???????

  • yes puting the effects through the amps loop and puting distortion boxes into the amps input is what i do now but my old setup required me to put the pedals through the gt-6 preamp and speaker simulators that emulated a good amp rather than using a real amp like i do now. it was a complicated setup, good cos it was portable. i now use a gt-10 and peavey jsx for the distortion

  • the way he set it up is correct as the distortion pedals are in the ns2's loop.

you're basically correct if the ns2 wouldn't have its loop but would be just a noise supressor with in and out. but i think he explained the loop wrong as the DS1 seems to sit after the SD1 and not vice versa as explained. but that shouldn't matter to much. the principle shown is correct.

  • i have posted a new pedalboard video check it out... thanks

  • więcej sprzetu niz talentu ;]

  • dude, the noise surpressor would work better if you put it last. xD

  • no..... putting your line though the input of the ns would decay and ruin the signal/sustain, your meant to put the noisy pedals through the ns loop to supress their low frequency hum rather than supressing the full chain of effects...........................at least one of us has learnt something

  • nice guitar

  • thanks, its even better now as i have just finished changing all the matal hardware to official ibanez chrome parts. ive posted a short video since completion

  • nice :)

serisouly dude i kno its js series

beats the shit out of vai's guitar

    it really suits you too

  • Too long did not watch

  • GT sex :D :D :D :D :D

  • GT sex :D

  • never use stomp box with multi effects it sucks out ur tone so much ...

  • Do you like your Peavey Vk?? i think about buying it

  • i now use a peavey jsx although i recommend the vk as it good for quality at a good price

  • Its a bit unfair of these people taking the piss out of your accent. Stupid people.

I liked the video and the use of the noise gate is very cool. Though I have to say using the chain as is, is a waste of the gt6. Its an awesome tool and can do everything you're trying to achieve with the seperate pedals.

  • thanks, this is my old setup. i find that anologue pedal sound much better that the digital distorion that the gt-6 produces. check out my new setup

    thanks

  • I am using the same setup with a Fender Deluxe Strat... It's kinda difficult to get the same sound though... Do you have any suggestions for Stratocaster players?

  • i'd replace your bridge pickup with a humbucker, you'd get more sustain and crunch

  • get a PRS. they own all

  • well i am from an english speaking country unlike you so.....

  • *well i am from an english speaking country unlike you so.....

    lol...Good shot m8.

  • doesnt joe satriani us an ibanez ts808? instead of the boss overdrive.

  • no, he now only uses his vox satchurator pedal for distortion sounds

  • I got bored at 3 minutes. It'd be easier just to type the signal chain in the info box instead of verbally explaining it. Unless your performing a song it's best to make demos as quick as possible. Sorry but I just don't have time to listen to all 8 minutes. BTW - You must play the bagpipes? Hoot mon!

  • this i smy old setup, check out my new jsx setup video thanks

  • Never heard of a "gt-sex"

  • I have a cracking valve amp just need to use it rather than the OD on my BOSS.

Will post some vids using my Laney

  • Ive tried to do a satch tone on my BOSS ME50, check out my channel.

  • check out my jsx amp setup video for satriani type tone with a valve amp tone, thanks

  • I like the ValveKing I actuly use the amps distortion I really like the sounds it gets so I use its natural sound

  • interesting use of the gt6 and the pedal fx. i like it

  • thanks it was the best portable setup i could make without carrying an amp everywhere with me

  • in terms of setting up your "preamp" on the gt6, what settings do you use? have you thought about using the 4 cable method and running you're delay in the fx loop of the amp? just curious thats all.

  • i set the preamp eq straight up dials, as for the 4 cable method that is what i use with my jsx amp head, check out my jsx rig video to see how i use my gear like you mentioned

    thanks

  • hoi chap

  • jee-tee sex?! just kidding!

  • Not much of a fan of multi effect pedals but it sounded decent, I am glad you're crack isn't showing in this vid like the other one, hahaha.

  • cracktacular!!!

  • How much did u pay for that Ibanez?

  • i found it hung up in a shop 2 years ago in italy all a mess. i paid 700 euro although ive spent more on fixing a re-fitting parts like the floyd rose and swithces. its a 97'

    thanks

  • nice set up dude.

  • how come you dont clip the balls of the strings when you put the strings on?

  • the problem with cutting the balls off is when you tune up you can cut or stick the sharp strings end in you fingers so i stopped cutting them as it wasn't needed.

  • How would you like it if someone clipped off your balls??

  • i dont know, funny man :)

  • iv got the gt-10 its amazing

  • Awesome setup dude. Good to see someone actually thinking and planning their rig carefully.

  • thanks alot, my current setup is through peavey jsx amp and setup a differently check it out

  • Get rid of the GT6 man, if you need it for delay check out the Boss DD series or get a Digidelay ;)

  • I use the gt-6 also for effects and changing patches when I play in my band, i'd be hopping about on stage with individual effects boxes

  • Well, there are always alternatives... I started with pedals and moved to many multi-effects units, but recently moved back to pedals... the quality of tone is so much better. Again, it depends on each person's requirements though. For effects you might want to check out the Line 6 MM4.

  • you should check out my new setup video (jsx) as i usee the gt-6 with the 4 cable method and lots of other multi-effects dont let you do this to have full control of the amp and its channels

  • jee-tee sex?!

    just kidding!

  • yes sex

  • toca mas y habla menos papagallo

  • hey i would like to ask something...i noe its stupid but basically noise compresser is to compress the noise isit...?

  • its called a "noise supressor" it basically takes the tone and putes through a series of gates that clip off the electrical fuzz attached to the signal in the loop.

  • hi the gt-6 has a noise supresor although it isnt as effective as my external pedals

  • hey got a question does gt-8 have the noise compresser? and if it doenst how much was urs?

  • what set-ups does the distortion has?
