Have you ever noticed that chronologically, every Metroid game that takes place after Adam's death uses the Ridley theme as the escape music? (Yes, including this one.)
@SimplyEpic17 No, the space station was exploding from a self-destruct mechanism. Ridley's theme is just commonly used as the escape theme for metroid games
@IidoTheFox Well Zero Mission's final escape made sense, the Space Pirate Mothership didn't begin to explode until the countdown was over or Samus made it away.
I suppose Mother Brain's escapes may make some sense. Despite saying "self destruct sequence activated" or "time bomb set", it's likely that the explosions and destruction come from the fact that Mother Brain basically controlled all systems and machines in the area, and without her, it all overloads and goes out of control.
well the parasite queen crashed in the frigate's main reactor and started inestabilty in the frigate orpheon, then in tallon IV the phazon core was so damaged due to samus fight against the metroid prime also caused the meteor destruction, and in dark aether was destrouyed because samus extracted the enrgy core from the temples, and so on, i think that makes sense at all.
@Shadowfan92 Maybe the federation activated it. They were talking about how they were going to destroy the Bottle Ship, so it could just be that someone set off the self destruct mechanism then. Or maybe it was the battle with Phantoon, his explosion rocked the entire ship, it could have damaged something that set off the mechanism. Who knows lol
when i played this part in the game i was like i think i might get a tear and then i hear WEE OOOO WEE OOO WEEE OOO (alarm) and then i could not stop laughing since that came out of no where
I understand the need for this game to not have strong language, but since they had Samus talking so much this time when the alarm went off that would have been the perfect timing for a small curse lol
@24HallOfFame90 at least a "Damn!" like admiral dane said in metroid prime 3 (btw they took that line out of the trilogy version lol he says "No!" instead)
Awesome. This was a GREAT game. They really went all out, both gameplay and story-wise. Plus I like how this return mission explains why communication with Adam ceased and why he confronted you about the Metroids.

It's five minutes before detonation and the whole station started to explode like hell.... :l
