This raccoon has rabies for sure...it was convulsing and attacked you...most would not be seen during the day and would run from any human contact...be more careful...Rabies can kill you pretty fast if not treated fast...
micahmks, notice anything strange about the raccoon? How about the fact that out in the daytime? Raccoons are nocturnal. They say that when they appear in the daytime, it's a sign they have rabies. If he bites you, you will have rabies and could die without the shots they give. You have to get a lot of shots to get over rabies. So be more careful.
You just missed every indication of a rabid raccoon. It was in daylight, not frightened, acting sick, and violent. You are lucky it did not bite you. You should have called animal control right away.
the racoon was dead the next day just a little ways away from where i filmed this, he definatley had something he was knawing on his tail i didn't put that part up
omg I remember when I was little I went in between two tree's, and I didn't even notice the giant racoon hiding behind the tree on the right, and he screamed at me! I cried and ran away! i hate racoons

rabid animals can't swallow, they have throat convulsions when they try to swallow or when they see water. that is why he didn't eat it
