Several things to comment:

1. I think Nell looks nicer in this version for some reason.

2. AW1 was hard as BALLZ to get an S-Rank. I remember having to figure out an EXACT strategy for most campaign levels in order to get full points.

3. Was there a sound room in this version? I forgot.

4. Sturm freakin' PWNS.

I would agree with you there! I never played duel strike tho (Didnt have a DS at the time) and now I play Days of ruin and IMO the gameplay on Days of ruin is very very good!

I loved the whole series. But Advance Wars - D.o.R. just wanted to try something new. I liked the manga style battle scenes but they weren't clean. But still never the less. Advance Wars is will be a great series. Mistakes or none.

Days of Ruin is gay-ass emo shit. I'm sure the gameplay is awesome, but the "grim'n'gritty" look is NOT, I repeat, NOT Advance Wars. Advance Wars is cartoony, and DoR effs that up.

I think the reason is because they believed it was unnecessary to develop a sprite sheet for only 3 battles (Andy Times Two, Enigma, Final Battle). Also I think what apocalypse said can hold, as well.

I don't think he stole from Orange Star though. I think he used the same technology and troops as orange star, because if you remember, he was pretending to be orange star when he attacked green earth and yellow comet. That's why they were so mad at you when you passed through. To make everyone believe orange star was behind the attacks on their countries, and not Black Hole, Sturm would have to use Orange Star technology and troops.

LOL, not really... more like the hardest. The campaign mode in each game has gotten progressively easier if you ask me... AW1 was hardest, AW2 somewhat easier, and AW: DS easier than AW2. For normal campaign anyway.
