@Armedifus NS6 is a controller. professional dj's almost never use a controller to replace a full deck: a full deck is customizable, and offers many options that aren't available on a piece of technology like that.

but it is good to have all the extra stuff to avoid conflict with xperienced djs, i mean now a dj that cant manually beatmatch is an outcast among his kind.

@Armedifus pretty much :) i knew you could scratch on the ns6 (virtually any controller with tables/jog wheels can), but nothing beats scratching on real turntables. i'm not saying that controllers aren't bad, but full decks are real nice to have. really, most controllers are meant to be easily carried around and affordable. that's what makes controllers better than decks.

@Official7Records The cue sticks as long as you keep the button pressed, even after switching layer. So you can keep playing a cue from deck 1 even after switching to deck 3. (based on the annotations in another version of this video, my ns6 doesn't arrive for another few days)

@frodehauge not what i meant... at about 0:59, he presses (and holds) cue 2 on deck 1, making the "put your hands up" part play, then he taps cue 1: cue 2 continues playing, but cue 1 (the snare beats) begin playing as well.

As long as you keep the cue button pressed it keeps on playing even though switching to the other layer and triggering a cue there.

I first started with a Mixtrack small and great thing to work with. When you think you have done everything with the Mixtrack look for the novation dicer. They set cue points which is GREAT for mixing.
