@Kingslay3r actually it is, if you kill the character at the beginning of the game they stay dead even when they're not in your party, and a character gains no exp or ap from battles when dead
@Kingslay3r You shouldn't say something is cheated when you have too limited knowledge about the subject to know better. The fact that KO'd characters in the party don't receive EXP should be common knowledge by now.
@PointlessVideos4Life well it isnt for me, i played that game, had a game of 90+hours, 4 characters with all maxed stats (morphing stuff in sunken submarine), all maxed mats, a set of each master materia for each and i never knew a ko'd character would never level up
I am doing a Playthrough of the bosses on Final fantasy 7 Ultima Edition, Check my channel to watch them. I have 2 so far, if a lot of people want it I will do a full playthrough of the game not just the bosses.
it seems possible if you go with this idea in mind from the VERY BEGINNING. it just means knowing the game well enough to CONSTANTLY catch the moments you KNOW Tifa will be revived and receive exp. And having her in ur party at given moments to kill her off right away. So if everyone else is soaring through levels and gaining exp from level grinding while she's still DEAD, she can get killed by ANYONE in one hit and stay dead while materia and levels are gained from everyone else.
you'll notice the dead characters in the party have 3 digit and 4 digit max hp respectively. THEY did all the fighting and mastering.... them and the other 3/6 characters (depending on how many you get, and I'm avoiding mentioning the (now OBVIOUS) spoiler)
thats what I was telling him, tifa starts at lvl 6 and is one fight away from going to lvl 7 and seeing as how, random points in the game characters get revived its not like he could have killed her, and every one gains exp from battles... Its not just having her out of the party, Its having her dead for the entire game to this point. Members outside the party (in PHS) still earn 50% exp for every battle. Rochi1357, you have a lot of patience to try this. Great job

No Gameshark used, Final Attack = Life works, then Final Attack and Counter Attack = Mime with the first move used = DOUBLE KotR EVERY TIME SHE IS HIT. Not fair, but only way to beat this beast at level 7...

Yeah, you're right. I know for a fact from messing with the debug mode gameshark code, that at level 7 the knights only do about 600-1200 damage. So the only way would be to leave her dead, and morph magic plus items from enemies, for DAYS.

If you ran from EVERY optional fight in the game, and kept Tifa K'OD the entire game (and it would be hard to do both)
she would still be above level 7. The only thing plausible about this is he reprogrammed the game to keep her level low. I'm not saying hes cheating just that he had to reprogram the game either way.

I got another fact, even if you dont keep the characters in your party they level up to certain levels at certain points in the game and even if he didnt level her up she would be about level 50 by disc 3 anyway. but still this vid is pretty impressive
I just noticed, Cloud is at a low level too (his health is on 3 digits) It's only the one at the bottom that has 4 digit health........So either he uses gameshark or something to lower the levels OR the game was pretty low level.

It must have taken a lot of time to level just Vincent up though, plus how could he keep cloud at that low a level because surely the Rufus battle would level him up.
First off al you have certain challenges wich will make you try to stay the lowest level as possible.
If tifa is dead in battle and you win the battle she gets NO exp whatsoever.
So if you have one good and lets say a lvl 10 cloud and a lvl 8 tifa you just fight against enemy's and then when the battle is almost over let cloud and tifa die.
That's genius. Must have taken forever to get all your materia to mastered- well apart from Life which needed to stay at 1 star. I feel ashamed that I never beat him now lol.
The next time I play this I am going to try the whole game using Tifa on level 7 for every boss!

An obvious fake. You can't get that far in the game without becoming a certain level. Whether or not you ever use tifa, dead, or not, she will level with everyone else. Sure, it will take longer, but with all the battles you fight to get there, you are guaranteed to be above level 20. You either used a gameshark, or have a serious glitch in your game.
i dont understand how you have got this far into the game and yet stil have tiffa at lvl 7 if your charcters are not in your main party they automatically lvl anyway. Unless u have had tiffa in ur main party through the whole game with 0hp :S

they had final attack materia and paired it with life. this way if tiffa is killed she will bring herself back as long as she got MP. You can get final attack from the golden saucer battle arena.

Though I can't think of how anyone could make it to Emerald WEAPON, at lvl 7, with all of that materia mastered, without using any cheat device...
Notice how Vincent is level 99? He kept some characters dead throughout every fight so they wouldn't get experience and only used a select few of characters to level up to get through the game. No cheating there. :)
you'll find that if you focus on levelling 3 characters the rest of them level up a few levels behind. I rarely used tifa after level ~15 but she still got to level 20 when cloud was 25+ without using her... but so what if its a cheat? least it shows you can kill the bastard with a level 7 :)
its very hard to get kotr in the first place, making it a weak attack would have made it feel like a lack of achievement. I love watching kotr and some people havent been able to beat the 2 weapons without it. I think the main weakness of FF7 was the bosses were too weak, the 2 weapons should be how the normal later bosses in the game storyline should be.
actually the Japanese version of the game was much harder, so much so in fact, that Square-Enix (at the time still Square Soft) thought it would be to difficult for North American players, and so took it upon themselves to severely cut down the difficulty of the bosses and regular enemies, as well as the rate in which you encounter enemies in "random battles". Square-Enix FTL ^.^b
explains why 90% of the bossess are way too easy then and why its so easy to get out of the first reactor before the clock hits 0 since on the jap version would be more random battles?
combinations of materia/equipment is what the game is all about...this is just one of many combinations that works for beating emerald and unlike the others with a

thats what I was telling him, tifa starts at lvl 6 and is one fight away from going to lvl 7 and seeing as how, random points in the game characters get revived its not like he could have killed her, and every one gains exp from battles... Its not just having her out of the party, Its having her dead for the entire game to this point. Members outside the party (in PHS) still earn 50% exp for every battle. Rochi1357, you have a lot of patience to try this. Great job

thats an awful lot of the summon knights of the round used......would be mindnumbingly boring for the person doing the battle, gratz rochi1357, i dont think id have the patience to do all that work to keep tifa at lvl 7 n to then do the battle in that way...you musnt have much of a life xD ..... but great vid

ummm.. their is no posible way kus as you know your charaters get about 25% exp of every battle, and you have to use her quiet a few times through out the game.

yeah i suppose it is possible to do this it would be very hard.....but still possible... and with this materia setup its not hard at all to beat emerald with any low level character.

Yeah, you're right. I know for a fact from messing with the debug mode gameshark code, that at level 7 the knights only do about 600-1200 damage. So the only way would be to leave her dead, and morph magic plus items from enemies, for DAYS.

He HAS to be using a gameshark or other means of reprogramming the game
If you ran from EVERY optional fight in the game, and kept Tifa K'OD the entire game (and it would be hard to do both)
she would still be above level 7. The only thing plausible about this is he reprogrammed the game to keep her level low. I'm not saying hes cheating just that he had to reprogram the game either way.
MAybe its different on computer version but these are FACTS.

I just noticed, Cloud is at a low level too (his health is on 3 digits) It's only the one at the bottom that has 4 digit health........So either he uses gameshark or something to lower the levels OR the game was pretty low level.

First off al you have certain challenges wich will make you try to stay the lowest level as possible.
If tifa is dead in battle and you win the battle she gets NO exp whatsoever.
So if you have one good and lets say a lvl 10 cloud and a lvl 8 tifa you just fight against enemy's and then when the battle is almost over let cloud and tifa die.

An obvious fake. You can't get that far in the game without becoming a certain level. Whether or not you ever use tifa, dead, or not, she will level with everyone else. Sure, it will take longer, but with all the battles you fight to get there, you are guaranteed to be above level 20. You either used a gameshark, or have a serious glitch in your game.

i dont understand how you have got this far into the game and yet stil have tiffa at lvl 7 if your charcters are not in your main party they automatically lvl anyway. Unless u have had tiffa in ur main party through the whole game with 0hp :S

so they make sure that character is in their party and dies before they defeat the boss...

they had final attack materia and paired it with life. this way if tiffa is killed she will bring herself back as long as she got MP. You can get final attack from the golden saucer battle arena.

Ha, I remember my cousin was playing this when it first came out and he hadn't saved sence the fight with rufus and reno at cid's hometown and he went underwater and I told him to fight emrald and we didnt know who it was so he died in like 2 minutes haha i felt so bad.

It just means that withthe right combinations of equipment and materia, u can be a little faggot and basically never have to worry about dying and killing basically everything. I happen to think KOTR makes the game quite enjoyable.

Notice how Vincent is level 99? He kept some characters dead throughout every fight so they wouldn't get experience and only used a select few of characters to level up to get through the game. No cheating there. :)

you'll find that if you focus on levelling 3 characters the rest of them level up a few levels behind. I rarely used tifa after level ~15 but she still got to level 20 when cloud was 25+ without using her... but so what if its a cheat? least it shows you can kill the bastard with a level 7 :)

its very hard to get kotr in the first place, making it a weak attack would have made it feel like a lack of achievement. I love watching kotr and some people havent been able to beat the 2 weapons without it. I think the main weakness of FF7 was the bosses were too weak, the 2 weapons should be how the normal later bosses in the game storyline should be.

actually the Japanese version of the game was much harder, so much so in fact, that Square-Enix (at the time still Square Soft) thought it would be to difficult for North American players, and so took it upon themselves to severely cut down the difficulty of the bosses and regular enemies, as well as the rate in which you encounter enemies in "random battles".
