  • I never did lines of coke during an 80's police car chase.....but if i ever did, this song would have to be playing

  • this riff ...... i fuckin' LOVE PANTERA !!!!

  • if this is glam then I am gay...

  • @thejokealive than you're straighter than John Mclein, kind sir

  • Oh wow. wtf??? Why didn't they mass release this album? All they needed was better sound. Jeez what a loss.

  • I love when people claim that Pantera was a "Glam" band back in the early days. Bullshit. This is straight up Priest-type Metal.

  • at 2:27 that solo sounds like five magics and take no prisoners

  • this is not glam. its pretty heavy.

  • 100% Judas Priest

  • . They went to a violent, badass metal in the 90`s. This is still good music as well as projects in the jungle. Wasnt much for metal magic.

  • @gunman848 Dude this album is incomparably rad.

  • @ mujuma Youre a fucking idiot bro, Pantera is the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be, so suck it!!!

  • This is one of Dimes best solos, HANDS DOWN!!!!

  • Fuck anyone who hates any Pantera recording you obviously have your head shoved up your ass!!!

  • Ah, the Pantera that's enjoyable.

Why did they go Groove :\

  • @mujuma 80's pantera was good. But come on man, what the fuck, "Why did they go Groove :\ "?????? Pantera is not metal, nor metal is pantera. PANTERA IS PANTERA!!! And the 90s Pantera kicked chuck norris ass!

  • @CoolKwstas123 Each to their own, mate.

Not a fan of their Groove Metal years, found it boring and very bland.

  • They got a new member in the band and it changed their sound and direction. Happens all the time. At least with Pantera it was for the better. This is awesome!

  • dimegod!ლ(ಠ益ಠლ Raahhhh!!!

  • this is full of fucking leather destruction song!!! its so fucking heavy like a 1 million tons of leather!!!!!!

  • Sick Solo , Dimebag is a Heavy Metal Messiah

  • Pantera = Awesome~!

  • GLAM = Gay LA Metal

  • @363Magi so your'e saying that motley and dokken, and ratt suck? the hell?

  • @henrysmom2 I just ripped that comment off of Dave Mustiane from Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years. : P

You ever see that movie? Shows the whole glam scene as a documentary

  • @363Magi yeah Glam=Gay LA Music! But not all glam is bad. Ratt and Dokken are pretty good.

  • @henrysmom2 No, ratt had a good song and George lynch is beast thats what you meant

  • @henrysmom2 Listen to Suicidal Tendencies and Alestorm instead!

  • @henrysmom2 Yes, all three of those bands are fucking horrible lmao

  • Glam Metal is badass fuck all you posers that say it isnt your the same assholes who say metal started with Metallica and everyting before it (Priest, Sabbath, Purple, Zeppelin, Maiden) is poser stuff. lol fuck you guys theres new Glam AND Thrash bands deal with it or fuck off. Now listen to Pantera and bang your fuckin' head!

  • @theguy782 ur a fucking idiot even if they look almost remotely glam phil is in this shit and ur a poser for even typing this band in during ur search for other faggot ass bands that are so called glam "metal" go fall off a cliff u waste of oxygen breathing sack of shit..huh calling zeppelin and maiden poser.ur lucky u didnt say that at a concert.

  • @sayimscum1 i didnt call any of those bands poser shit i said blind as only thrash lovin' posers think they are! if i ever met you at a fuckin concert on the epitaph tour, mayhem a few months ago or fucking download id kick your fat fucking short haired emo ass. Go suck lulu's dick you dumb fuck.

  • GLAM=GAY LOSER ASSHOLE MUSIC

  • @XxC0RPS3MAK3RxX This isn't glam,glam was the crappy bands like poison,cinderella,others.

  • This is better then the 90s nu metal crap they were doing..

  • @themonger1 I agree . after a while all they were making was noise

  • Pantera is better than Motley Crue...I just read that comment below me...smh PANTERA WIPES THE FLOOR WITH CRUE

  • You can really hear the change from Glam to Groove when Phil came in, he made the band more smash mouth..

  • Fuck I love that main riff. Makes me eargasm lots.

  • Fuck, you can hear the art of shredding in here, slowed down a bit something like that aahhhh shit, good ol dime

  • I find this song to be 100 times better then anything motley crue, poison, or bon jovi has ever done.

  • @ArticSabbathGwar75 sure better that the "pop jovi"

but motley is the king of glam metal

  • @ArticSabbathGwar75 sure better that the "pop jovi"

but motley is the king of glam metal

  • @cantongo34

Yeh whatever my point is Pantera is cool Motley Crue sucks.

  • That riffage sounds baddass, like an old-school thrash riff. They should not have tried to forget their early releases. They sounded baddass as fuck!

  • Well, the entire power metal album its very underrated, its very solid and aggressive record...

  • glam metal? no this isnt glam metal sucks and this doesnt suck

  • got to jam with these guys in Lawton OK, playin a very small club..they always rocked! + the owner of the club never asked for ID's got to drink some really bad beer filled in used milk gallon jugs.

  • Sounds like this could have come straight off of Cowboys From Hell

  • Comment removed

  • holy shit I did not know Pantera existed in the 80s. I thought they were just a 90s band

  • I'lll be honest.... This is fucking EPIC! It proves no mater what Pantera has played they can clearly do any genre and sound like gods when they play!

  • to the guy who said glam is only defined by looks, you are a goddamn poser. only a poser would label a music by looks. if slayer wore makeup, pink lace, and white leather, would you call them poison wanna-bes? hair metal DID have a sound. thrash metal did too. all metal has its sound, it wasnt defined by your looks. exodus and danger danger wore pretty much the same things.firehouse, warrant, wildside, and most of the later hair bands dressed exactly like megadeth, nuclear assault or overkill.

  • Death trap only DESTRUCTION ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • CRAZY OO

  • THEY FUCKIN RAPED METAL WORLD FROM THE BEGIN TILL THE END:

    HAIL TO THE FUCKIN KINGS

  • Kerry King was in this song

  • Comment removed

  • @GoJays09 pantera was never thrash, at first they were glam.

  • @thrasherlml oh ya then whats this? what would you define this as? sounds like fabulous disaster era exodus and so far so good era megadeth had some kids and they started a band with the kid rob halford-judas priest and david wayne-metal church had together.

  • @motleydrue666 the name of the cd, power metal

and also, this is what pantera sounded like for this cd, before this it was like super glam

but after this it was groove

  • i thought that pantera sucks before Cowboys from hell but i was wrong ;P

  • @bkr1997 I don't really like their first 3 albums, but I think Power Metal - Reinventing The Steel is awesome

  • why is this or was this concidered glam metal? it sounds lot more like Thrash metal

  • Hmm. I definitely prefer this to the post-Cowboys tough guy stuff. But, to each their own, right?

  • can really heard the Priest influence on this one. they should re-release this, so long as they dont fuck with the sound too much!

  • this sounds kinda old, but nice anyway :D.

  • @Monk3yMadn3zz Its a B album from 1988.

  • @Monk3yMadn3zz

Well IT IS from 1988. Of course it sounds old.

Still better than the Cowbows From Hell SHIT

  • @ildur

your comment smells like rat shit

  • @Monk3yMadn3zz it is old!

  • panter. a.

  • power metal

    pantera style!!!!

  • AND SUDDENLY POWER METAL WAS BORN !

  • One of my favorite from PANTERA !!! Love you Dime, love you Vinnie, love you Rex and Phil I still love you!!! You were and still are the best metal singer out there !!! HAIL FROM ICELAND !!!!!!!

  • this is an awesome fucking sound to my ears.

  • R.I.P Dimebag :(

  • @Boehsertobi1337

You shouldn't be sad about his death, at least god can listen to real music

  • @kingzoky007 NO NO NO JUST RETHINK WAT U SAID

  • @kingzoky007 :D

  • This sounds more like New Wave of British Heavy Metal and not Glam, Poison is GLAM.

  • @santanaincubus Nobody thinks this album is glam, the glam albums of Pantera are Projects in the Jungle and Metal Magic.

  • @Whackooyzero OK. Glam comments about this album are CLEARED.

  • 203 metal fans-1 cocksucker

  • Dimes solo's in the 80's were fuckin fierce hands down!!!! If u like this check his jams on a couple Anthrax albums he does some WICKED shit in a few of their songs. I have to say though my favorite at least on this album is the solo from "we'll meet again" that one fell from the heaven's no doubt.

  • what ta FUCKINH HELL that SOLO was Freaking AWESOMEE!!! It was a SOLO of GODS!!!!!!!!!

  • sound like judas priest

  • BURN UR GUITAR TO OUR GOD !

    DIMEBAG DARRELL.

  • I Miss Phil's old Voice ~~!!

  • Also, that solo sounded like it had a tiny tiny bit of EVH influence in it, course it could have just been me. It was awesome shit regardless. Also I like how power metal changed, back in the 80s most of it sounded like this (Jag Panzer, Deadly Blessing etc) and now it's a lot more symphonic and less thrashy.

  • @raistlinmajere100 There is nothing power metal about this era of power metal except for a few songs, though Jag Panzer and Deadly Blessing are of that style of power metal (the difference is the emphasis on epicness). But power metal has always been a bit more melodic, I mean don't forget the 80's also brought us Helloween and Blind Guardian.

  • The way they play and the way they look=LOL. Doesn't match at all! It's great.

  • @raistlinmajere100 yeah that was the crossover into the heavier shit. u can see they were heavily influenced by Judas Priest until they went heavy and power groove.

  • @raistlinmajere100 The Great Contradiction, you gotta love it! \m/

  • Wow and people say Pantera was never thrash

  • Okay I gotta apologize for being a bit too harsh there. Yeah I don't get a lot of later Pantera or his guitar tone or style, but he was obviously talented I just feel people worship him a bit much.

    Sorry meant no offense.

  • @Whackooyzero . I agree far beyond driven and the great southern trend kill were way out there, but this guys can shred like crazy

  • Who knew there was a time when Dimebag Darrell wasn't overrated? Or at least not as much.

  • @Whackooyzero there are records on tv show from when he was 15, so he was always famous. And he deserved it

  • easily their best album. this is the real pantera, not all that fake tough guy get the tats in a hurry and jump on the speed metal bandwagon version. when they made music for the sake of making music THIS is what came out,

    power metal forever!

  • @krevice nah, theres a ton of excellent music released after this. but i see what your saying

  • @ThrashTillDeath322 no hablaes estupideces hermano por favor te pido pantera is the best fuckin band in the world

  • @ThrashTillDeath322 I hear you dude, you are so fuckin' right.

  • @ThrashTillDeath322 This ain't glam you ignorant. This is power metal. They didn't dress like girls. You should see som poison. It's what was wore at the time. It's like wearing linen cloth this days. This is power metal, as the name of the album says. And if you don't like Vulgar Display of Power, then FUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU

lol seriously, don't come around argentina, or I'll kick your ass

  • @PisYCaca1 actually it's thrash metal by sound

  • @ThrashTillDeath322 Oh my brother of thrash...how wrong you are. No one loves thrash more than I do, but you really think Pantera changed to suit the times? If I remember correctly, Pantera kept metal alive through the Grunge and Nu-Metal 90s. Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax all changed their sound by that decade. Far Beyond Driven was number 1 in the Billboards at a time when Grunge was near its peak!

  • @dduval59 Pantera kept metal alive in the 90's? In the mainstream light maybe. But Death Metal did a much better job of keeping Metal alive in the 90's than Pantera did.

  • @ZeroMurasame No, Pantera did keep metal alive in the 90s. the death metal bands did too, but the mainstream light is what people mean dude. metal will ALWAYS be around in the underground. its who keeps it popular that makes the biggest difference.

  • @ThrashTillDeath322

you cry on this video too? Man, why are you so mad that PanterA is a good band? Despite everything shown to you, you still claim that they sold out and aren't powerful at all. Phil was the only member that was really even into Exhorder idiot. Vulgar and Driven are amazing records, "NO EXODUS IS SO MUCH BETTER" Exodus is amazing, don't try to kill them for me, Exodus loved PanterA when they debuted out, they thought they were great. Id say Exodus is far more credible than you

  • some mother fucker still my power metal pantera cassette, give me back son of bitch

  • @laorcaasesina ooo, dude id be kicking some serious fucking ass if someone tried to pull that shit on me. u need to go on a manhunt for that shit lol. youd be insulting me and Pantera if you didnt lol ...

  • I've always preferred, Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven, Great Southern Trendkill and Reinventing the Steel to Cowboys From Hell. And now I've been listening to Power Metal I like that better too. Maybe even I Am The Night aswell.

  • A lot of people I've talked too online say Dime's guitar playing isn't anything special....they need to listen to this song....

  • underrated album

  • hey dumbfuck. this is phil singing. lol and there original singer was terry glaze. get it straight before you post it on a pantera page brother.

  • this kick ass i'm hearing this for the first time and I've been a fan of Pantera since cowboys from hell can't believe this is the first time I've ever heard this

  • I've always loved pantera and a few days ago i found out they had four album before cowboys from hell. just been checking out some of the songs from power metal and this is kick ass with all the metal heads i knew back in the days of highschool can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing this.

  • if anyone trys to label this its thrash, I dont see how this is considered glam metal, harsh pitched vocals, demon screams from the night, with some heavy ass precision picking by diamond!!

  • @jatan616 That's because glam metal is defined by looks only, there is no glam metal sound.

  • @TheGreatDuck Sometimes, SOMETIMES glam is more popish

  • @chris14bylow kinda. it just sounds a bit more-whats the word...prettier/cleaner I guess. This song still rages with energy, but its not as vulgar as their later work.

  • @warlockmetal1 I can agree with that lol

  • @TheGreatDuck eh i wouldn't say that a lot of the glam bands had a distinct sound to them

  • @TheGreatDuck idk... it seems i can usually tell when i hear them on the radio

  • @thrasherlml Just compare, say, WASP, to Bon Jovi or Poison, you'll see the difference.

Most glam metal bands played hard rock, heavy metal or AOR, no need to make up a new genre for them.

  • @TheGreatDuck yeah.. but nothing else sounds like glam. glam doesnt sound like thrash. glam doesnt sound like classic metal, its jus different.

  • @thrasherlml Again, listen to Icon,WASP, Kick Axe or Twisted Sister, they aren't really different from bands like Judas Priest.

And most glam metal doesn't sound like thrash or traditional metal because most of it is in fact AOR or HARD ROCK.

  • WATCH!!!!!!!! COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!! youtube.com/watch?v=taM2oXDCD7Q

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN this is bad ass! I never knew they had this cd. This song is awesome. Phil's vocals are so beast. Plus the riff is amazing. RIP Dimebag.

  • Comment removed

  • @MetalCverZ WRONG

  • One of my favorite Pantera songs alongside Proud to be Loud. Always preferred 80s Pantera over the 90s.

  • @DFidler im probably the only 1 here that thinks this but i rly think they started sucking big time after Cowboys

  • @laithlaith91 Yeah, you sure are.

  • By far one of their most underrated albums, every song rocks!!

  • Just another example why Dime is a guitar god.

    Orgasmic guitar solo

  • Best song ever!

  • Dime was , is , and will forever be my guitar God \m/

  • I would deff say this song is better than walk and shit like that.

  • @goneshootin22

EVERY PanterA song is great and a Masterpiece. sayin "shit" is false, but its all matter of opinion.

  • @goneshootin22 you havent heard enough pantera. listen to the rest of those albums. they are loaded with great songs. not just the singles.

  • Thier look was 80s metal but they never had the glam sound just hard rock, more on the lines of early dokken, when power metal came out they went for more of a thrash sound.latter becoming a grove metal band along side White Zombie, often with some death metal screams

  • @kissfan59474 Of course they never had a glam sound, because glam sound doesn't exist.

  • holy shit that solo was sick!

  • @bersercs5 omg these solos are amazing! this album i have to find it on cd but i dunno if it is on cd

  • braineater solo

  • i want somebody to do a cover of this like when people do one of justi bieber or bruno mars

  • first three albums ;)

  • dude this song is fuckin bitchin' bro!!!

    PANTERA OR DIE

  • Nice go dime

  • who gives fuck bout what metal it is?! its still metal, and it kicks ass HARD

  • one person just like justin bieber.....

  • Heavy fucking Metal to the core. Doom to all detractors and Bieber selling idiots who want to take away from Metal music. Unfortunately for you Metal can't be sold for just unintelligent sound of shouting and repeating chords you attempt to sell it for. Glam is Metal, Thrash is Metal, Speed is Metal, tags are useless.

  • NOT GLAM. this is Thrash. They went from Thrash to Groove metal.

  • @larsloveskirk they were glam, glam mixed with thrash and then groove :D

  • how badass would this song have been if they did it on Far Beyond Driven?

  • thank god pantera drop their hair metal shtick and just went balls out starting with "cowboys from hell". this is very 80's!!!!!!

  • kill the 1 motherfucker that dislikes this!!!!!!!!!!

  • i live in ontario

  • usually the people that knock this album and the albums before power metal, are close minded immature bigoted morons...the kind of losers that call anything without death growls in it gay/poseur/sell out music...everything is gay to these cocksuckers...fuck these douche bags!!!!! POWER METAL IS REAL FUCKIN METAL! THIS ALBUM IS METAL TO THE BONE!...i wish i could kill every fag that hates on pantera for their past...

  • @RapidCycling07 amen, fuck em pay em no attention.

  • @RapidCycling07 rofl..killing someone because of their music taste?..and you call them close minded when that's obviously your case!

  • @MrParasite1 sure...kill them all...it would be fun to see them suffer...i'm close minded for defending Pantera's awesome past?...u dont make sense sir...u really are a parasite...a mosquito...

  • @RapidCycling07 IF those people are judgemental and call it sell out or hate them for their past thats stupid for sure. don't get me wrong i do love old Pantera. I just think you give the hat to a massive amount of people that just doesnt like this album and that's what i call close minded. Just chill...Pantera been and will always be at the top anyway.

  • Fuck this song is beast!
