those last few meters were amazing, he just floats there and probably could have gone a bit further, but once they reach flat ground, i would imagine that landing gets a bit more dangerous. like the guy who crashed at 240 meters. if this is the world's biggest hill, imagine building a bigger one and somebody breaking 300m. it could probably be done. one of my favorite winter sports. i got to see a competition once. it looked like they would land on top of us.

they do not hit at the same time, if you drop a bullet from high enough, it will eventually reach terminal velocity, but that requires you to get it high enough, otherwise like someone mentioned, a bullet fired from a gun has addl FORCE pushing it. ya'll are confusing this with laws of mass/gravity.

i still dont understand he was in the air for 8 seconds, falling for 8 seconds then landing on a surface even remotely flat would surely break your legs, rules of physics state that a bullet droped from the hand at the same time and height of a bullet being fired from a gun perpendicular to the ground would mean that both bullets hit the gournd at the same time.

the shape they make, and their suits have a similar effect to a parachute, add that to the forward motion staying in close to the same velocity when i lands as in the air thanks to the skiis it softens the force on the legs a whole lot. and it was not completely flat surface.

But lordlozz1, he did not fall vertically for 8 seconds, he flew and landed almost parallel to the ground which, due to the lack of friction between the skis and snow would give no cause for a damaging impact.

Yes. But you have to understand that his skis are acting almost like wings on a glider. His forward speed causes air pressure against him, and his skis are turned up at an angle. Its the same effect as when you put your hand out of your car window and tilt it up a bit.

Basically, if you put little wings on the bullet which was fired from the gun it wouldn't hit the ground until its forward speed was low enough for gravity to overcome its lift.
