If you still think this company is legit I would like to point out that they will sell you a Fuel Management "Chip" for $60. Which is nothing more than a variable resistor that u can get from Radio Shack for ~$3. Ironically, it would probably give you more power than the "supercharger" they sell.
ok everyone says these things are stupid leaf blowers that wont work but ive seen a leaf blower hooked up to a car and it gave it about a 13.6 hp gain. So could someone explain to me why this wont work?
This may produce boost without the engine running. But I don't see it producing enough to overcome the vacuum of the engine at full throttle. Show the proof on a dyno, with it off and on.
@Goldminer63 in terms , you could use one of these on a mechanical speedcontroller with the throttle so the harder you press the faster it spins , and all in all you can get higher rpm and airflow with an electric fan then a mech fan or screw however you may call it
Even if you believe this crap could create pressure in your manifold it would still not increase your power. The whole point of nitrous, supercharger or turbo is to burn more fuel. If you are not giving the car more fuel, you are not making more power.
@drjim86 rofl yea burn more fuel by forcing a larger volume of air into the manifold, and unless you are pushing insane hp figures a simple upgrade like this will not require a fuel pump upgrade
I dont see in my post where i said you need a fuel pump upgrade. @ 5psi you will need a boost referenced fuel enrichment system. Anyone that knows anything about boost knows that forcing air into the engine is only half of the equation. Last time I checked, air doesnt burn that well on its own.
I do agare that a simple upgrade like this will not require any fuel management upgrade. Mainly because I doubt you would see more than 0.5 psi increase in boost.
Personally i dont think you will see any improvement or increased PSI lol, on my GT which is a 5.4lt you would need something a little larger, i can see something working on a smaller engine though, for instant a whipper snipper motor
@drjim86 Untrue the point of all three (nitrous, turbo or super) is to force or draw more oxygen into the combustion chamber. More oxygen=Bigger bang. yes you can use more fuel but that is not the point of boosting.
" If you are not giving the car more fuel, you are not making more power" so far off the mark it's not funny.
@Tyrets Taken from the Barry Grant website. "The process of producing horsepower revolves around the conversion of fuel into energy. The more pounds of fuel an engine can burn efficiently per hour, the more horsepower it produces." I guess you better tell them they are full of shit too because you are obviously smarter than everybody. And here i have been filling my car with fuel when all i really needed to do was fill my car with air. Thanks for setting my straight lol.
@drjim86 Sorry I think you may be misunderstanding me. Its all about the mixture mate. If you pull an oxygen rich mixture into your combustion chamber you can achieve a more efficient burn. But I didn't actually mean just air. Your fuel is actually useless without oxygen. "conversion of fuel into energy" I'm sure the word "fuel" will be referring to the fuel/air mixture. And I never said you or anybody else was full of shit. I was not trying to stir you up either.
@Tyrets Where I agree that all 3 power adders will add more oxygen, the purpose of adding more oxygen is to burn more fuel. It is the fuel, not the oxygen that burns. Adding more oxygen to the mixture will just give you a "lean" mixture which will destroy your engine. Add more fuel, without adding more oxygen and you get an incomplete burn. That being said, if you bolt a turbo to your engine and dont add more fuel, you will not get more power. A lot more acutally because turbos run ~11:1afr
@Tyrets not true, more oxygen means you can burn more fuel. more oxygen ONLY means bigger bang if there is fuel to mix with that air. lean afr's burn slow and hot and will cook exhaust valves

If that builds 5 pounds of boost on that engine I will cut off my balls and mail them to this videos creator.

@mxeric1 a leaf blower is a different animal and these electric motors don't produce boost, just wind. ever see one on a dyno?

@mxeric1 google wildweasel and electric turbos.

HaHaHa. That's too funny. "Electric Supercharger"
Superchargers work in relation to RPM, they aren't an on or off device.
See the metal flying from the Electric Fan when it starts up @3:16-3:21. Imagine the flying metal going into your engine.
20-35hp hahaha
