I very much dislike this trailer. It makes this film look like just another stupid chick flick. This film, I thought, had a lot of emotion and heart, an almost seriousness to it.

Yea!! Me too!! Also that scene when the mother and the children danced "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", it really gave some great and touching meaning. It's really beautiful!! I LOVE IT!! BEST MOVIE EVAHHHH!!!
The adverts for this looked really good, but when I watched it I was dissapointed. It was so unbelievable predictable. The only thing that surprised me was how utterly horrible their mum is. I'd just be so ashamed to be so rude about somebody in front of my kids, especially if it was their stepmum. So I didn't really like the film, what a cliche!!

If you take a poll of all kids whose parents are divorced and remarried, I would say that an incredible majority would say that they like their stepfather better than their stepmother. I think that this is because there is often so much jealousy between stepmoms and their stepkids. A lot of that has to do with the stepmom getting spoiled rotten and the father sometimes forgetting that he has his first family. In other words, there is severe JEALOUSY involved. Anyone agree with me?
