@anonymousmusician im sorry if u dont like wat i say i want to tell you that u dont hold the stick with your full grip u hold it with ur thumb n the finger next 2 the thumb
@numan123taj naa it's cool.. whatever works for people though..doesn't matter how the stick is held, as long as it touches the dhol correctly and makes the correct sound.
Credit to you for your videos, its helping me as a newbie to the dhol. The notes (shown as ge/dha/na) are great as ones can practice the beats correctly before speeding them up/down.
@AnonymousMusician -Yes no doubt about it u are a great help to all playing and learning Dhols. Learning never ever ends. One keeps learning througt out the entire life
I too ended up out of my quest for it and now i make Dhols for people in India and can also assist people abroad for procuring the right kind of dhol which professionals generally dont keep available for all.
urm it really isn't much of a problem once you get to learn the dhol properly. but as u are a beginner, it might confuse u, but that depends on how easily u pick up the notes and beats, as diff material 4 the bass could confuse u at 1st. i would recommend whenever you can get the normal goats skin for ur bass
yeah its importd frm india only... yea u r rite z bass is confusing smetimes...bt i like z sound.. anyway im getin myself z 1 wid da goat skins in z tim 2 come...thx ur videos are so helpful.
another helpful video lesson anonymous musician ! if any of your viewers want to learn breaks in further detail i've added a video response which contains 4 common breaks / thora's
I've just ordered a Dhol, never played one before (or any drum for that matter) so I will be using your lessons to introduce myself to it! Great vids, thanks so much.
