  • 260,000 brave confederate men gave everything they had, including their lives, in defence of home and family. This doesn't count over 50,000 women, children, and seniors that were simply murdered by the invading yankees. So, yes we do remember down here, and we don't care what lies are told . We refute them with truth. "Truth crushed to the ground is still truth." Don't believe text books, read the congressional records on the war of rebelion, and books writin from the period. DEO VINDCE !

  • 88% of southern men heeded the call to defend their homes , land and States....as compared to the 44% of Union men.

Cpt Carey F. Grimes CSA Portsmouth Light Artillery KIA Sharpsburg Sep 17, 1862...my flesh and blood. God Bless the South. God Bless Virginia.

  • For duty, for honor, FOR DIXIE ! Pvt. Salathial Helms 63rd GA. Vol. Inf. Co.E . Died Aug. 20, 1863. My Gr. Gr. Gr. Grandfather. GOD save Dixie. DEO VINDICE !

  • Theres a place in heaven for him. God Bless the men who fought for the South.

    Deo Vindice!

  • 1:19 - I feel like an idiot for forgetting the name attached to his face. Just as an observation, he looks enough like Clint Eastwood that it would be interesting to see him play this guy.

  • oh yeah, fuck the terrorist sherman too

  • fuck youtube, everyone should know why we fought

  • Please don't generalize southern mentality based on these close minded morons.

Many of us are smart, well educated, free thinking, and not stuck in the past.

  • Lincoln was never OUR president!

  • War's coming soon, boys. Get loaded up on ammo and make out your lists. The new civil war will be 4th generational, and we must win or otherwise the social marxists and their pet negros will inherit everything your ancestors fought and died for. Time is short.

  • Right, LOL. Get loaded up on ammo and prepare to bear arms against the FEDERAL GOVT. SMART. Let me know how that turns out. Ever hear of Ruby Ridge? Waco?

  • I doubt he voted for Bush, Republicans are against any one world gov, or even government control of people's lives, If the CSA had to pick a party now it would be the Republican party, Democrats basically stand for everything the south is against.

  • Come on down and try.

  • God bless the will for freedom!

  • هى لاسيانيا / هىلاسباسنيا // هى لأ سبانيا / هى لامريكا للوترى هى القيامة 1920 19020 1921

  • What?

  • oh really now

  • Come on down to the south and just say that to someones face, you coward.

  • Southern Patriots fought and gained Independence for each of the original 13 American Nations (States).

Later the sons and grandsons of those very Southern Patriots were obliged to fight against a Federal Beast which had trampled the rights of men and become a tyrant.

"Honest" Abe sent in the Federal Army to punish the South, and to enslave every man woman and child in the South.

Today we are still fighting for our Freedom form that Federal Beast.

  • We will eventually win.

  • Thats right!!!

  • just some slavery statistics for the people who know nothing of slavery but what they have seen on gone with the wind. 75% of southerners DIDNT own slaves. 13% owned 1-3. 8% owned 4-12. 5% owned more than 12. unless you were rich you worked the same hours, did the same job, lived in the same conditions, and were probably decent friends with your slaves as you dealt with the same problems. slavery isnt as it is portrayed.

  • Right, so even IF any of this BS is true, that makes owning people not all that bad, right? Fucking retard.

  • confederates fought for there homes and lands not for slaves old abe didnt care about slaves only the union

  • Um, you mean cornfederates fought for states rights, one of which was the right to own slaves. Anyone with half a brain knows that Lincoln was just as much a racist scumbag as the cornfederates were. Nothing new.

  • not racist, a man siging aobut the federal goverment taking his rights away. lean history before claiming it is racist.

  • thats reasonable. but u do have to admit that once u understand history and what preceded this song being wrote u have to admit in a way it is a little racist.

  • No you don't. Especially considering the war was NOT about slavery but States Rights. Remember the slaves were freed in the South but NOT the North by the tyrant, Dis-Honest Abe.

  • if you knew anything you would know that he freed the slaves in the seceding states free. he didnt free the slaves in the union or the slaves in the neutral states as he feared it would make them join the confederacy.

  • yea no shit. he didnt because of kentuckys industry. it is almost because of that that made them win. the economical power that the north had helped them win. and population.

  • good memory of the rebels.

  • Excellent! This sums up my own thoughts perfectly.

God bless & free our homeland! Deo Vindice

  • This is brilliantly done. I hope you don't mind if I vlog it.

  • A Thought

The right of revolution is an inherent one. When people are oppressed by their government, it is a natural right they enjoy to relieve themselves of the oppression, if they are strong enough, either by withdrawal from it, or by overthrowing it and substituting a government more acceptable."

    --Ulysses S. Grant

  • To all those who thing the Civil War was just about slavery, take the time to read and research before opening your mouth and calling people racist. You do yourself a great diservice by parroting others without understanding the issues.

  • Good vid brittonsneck2. Took me long enough to check it out. Glad you reminded me.

  • This song was written around the time of their surrender. If you ever get the chance to visit a Civil War Battlefied, go, they are very interesting. Lots of history, and spirtualism took hold at that time.

  • I get so tired of the bs about racism and blah blah blah...in nuance there is both good and bad in all chapters of history. What folks need to understand was that at one time there was a bunch of people that not only told the folks in DC to go to hell when they were trying to stick it to them but did something about it. And I'm glad to descend from them.

  • this song has a BIG Meaning to it and its not that its racist but its just shows how men back in that time felt and i think the song was made around the time the Battle of Fredricksburg or so bc that was a large turning point in the war and the southerners started to run low on men and land all togeather and were being forced to live a yankee life and were killed if they would not.

  • Well, you just can't have it all... unfortunately

  • AMERICA, NOT AMERICANA

  • This is a good poem. A truely rare piece of Americana.

  • im going to be part of a confederate reenacting group, so I'LL be singing this alot

  • oh dont be a farb

  • I like the song a lot. Johnny Rebel is a helluva singer.
