This song is so cheesy, it's stinking bishop! It's soft centred with a corny harmony and yet it's sentiment is so devastating and lethal like a slow motion gut punch that you can't get out of the way from, even though you know it's coming. This is so sweet, it's bitter! A complete classic.
@sergiomats I agree, all the way. Took me years to find on a CD since it was a "flip" side, not a hit by itself (although I think it could have been had it been released by itself).
Thank you, @mbatiegm, for this treasure from Little Anthony and The Imperials. I can't believe I didn't flip the record over, or don't remember doing so. As mentioned, it must be a different version, and I just love this beautiful song. I must subscribe. You have so many great ones.
@hiddenurge Having just listened to it again, I agree this is different. I'd have to listen to my vinyl to pinpoint the difference. This was posted from the CD release of the DCP albums. I'm sure this has been cleaned up and remixed, not sure if it's a different take.
Wow! This song popped into my head this morning. I went to amazon to buy it, it wasn't there. Thank you youtube. A real blast from the past. I always thought this was an A side. I liked it better than goin out of my head
@mbatiegm I really liked this one, too. I found it on the LP when it first came out and I think it was by far the best cut on the album. I tried for months to get Dennis Yost and the Classics (IV) to add it to their club act, but they never did. By the way, it's now available on CD as a double album.
@doowopman49 Glad you liked. I tried back in 65 to get Dennis Yost to do this one, but he never did. Got lota og relatives around Brick. Enjoy the shore!!
@eyegaf You're right, it was!! It was on the Album "I'm On The Outside Looking In" and I jumped to concludions (which is about all I can jump to nowadayd). Thanks for the correction!

Love this song, but it's a different take from the single. Both versions are great.

Wonder if this was another Teddy Randazzo composition? I really think Anthony was at his prime vocally at this time.

@crazyromanian1 Yes, this was co-written by Teddy Randazzo for their first album on DCP. Great album!
