yeah, it's true that japanese people are getting more attracted to the western style of life. i am a foreigner living in japan near shizuoka and i usually drink tea more than 5 times a day. i seldom buy it at the store because tea is not just a drink, it is an experience. i enjoy the time when i make tea at home.
my little advice to you guys is stop drinking coffee and start drinking lots of good quality tea and of course more healthy water
