  • now this is what i consider COUNTRY MUSIC, vs the so called country mucis being put out nowdays where most the so called singers cant sing to save their lives and hide behind their electronic gizmos. If i understand right Johnny was a relative of Dan Seals and Grady Seals from Little Texas, talk about a talented family. RIP Johnny and Dan

  • When I think of the 70s, which I do often, I always think of Johnny Duncan. You can't hear his voice without feeling romantic. Most of my fondest, most memorable moments from that period of my life had his music for a background soundtrack. I thank you for uploading this, especially since I can't play my vinyl anymore.

  • wow! took forever to find this. thanx for posting!!!

  • This man should be in the Country Hall of Fame!!

  • every time I hear this song I go back to the times that WE used to sneak away for our rendezvous, good times lol

  • A precious song ... love the words and the tune ... bless you for posting it.

  • Johnny sets a perfect mood...Janie joins him, and hits it out of the ballpark. Pure genius, and describes secret emotions real to so many of us.

  • It wouldn't take me an hour :)

  • Boy, can I relate to that song!

  • Brings back good ole memories, love this song.

  • love this song so much I could listen to it over and over again!

  • Johnny Duncan is the cousin of Jim Seals of Seals & Croft and county star Dan Seals who was also one half of England Dan & John Ford Coley fame.

  • This how country music is supposed to sound.

  • very nice song, so innocent and real unlike the modern garbage music...

  • Love this song...

  • makin' small talk has got me in a lil' more trouble than i wanted

  • i love this song, my best friend sent me this, he is so sweet, luv ya, ybff

  • BEEN THERE...DONE THAT!! Some songs just say it like it is,

  • another great one to listen to at the saw mill bar,

  • I had just started working at a heat treating plant and the guy I was working with shoed horses and listened to country music. This is the song that got me hooked on country music. Country music now is nothing like it was back when this song came out. Any musician now from any gender of music can sing a song and label it country. Trying to appeal to the younger generation, some artists are abandoning the true country sound just to sell a CD.

  • i totally agree with you , songs are nothing like they used to be. you could tell the difference, now it all sounds alike and they call some country, there are a few songs that sound like the old country. but the rest shouldn't be in the same category as country. this guy rocks
