  • how did you get a 357 windsor

  • It's a 351 windsor bored out to a 357.

  • how did you bore it to only 357

  • It's bored 0.03 over.

  • I thought they were bored in stages of 0.10

  • No, it's in 10 thousandths, not 100 thousandths.

  • whats the biggest engine fitted from factory?

  • in the rangers it was the 4.0 V6

  • yea i thought it was a 351 windsor?

  • @654321yhtaeD Yeah it is a 351 but it's bored 30 over and it picks up 6c.i.

  • learn how to tighten a fucking hose on

  • sounds like a pile of crack i mean shit!

  • film it from outside the truck. show us what it will do.

  • cool ranger. little but noise but u guys wiil work it out . what rear gear are you using

  • It has 3.89 gears in the rear end.

  • god that sounds aweful

  • so is that a tranny went boom whine or a gear drive cam whine?

  • The distributor gear is making that whinning noise.

  • Brass? never heard one that loud before..

  • It had a stock Ford distributor gear in the video. My brother now uses a bronze distributor gear. It makes little to no noise and has not broke like the stock one did.

  • nice ranger, i had a 86 with a ton of body mods... well it was a 100% full off custom... with a 69 boss 302 under the hood... funny enough, i poped a hose my first run too. lol nice vid.

  • sweet ranger guys, did you have to do any cutting to get the V8 in?

  • The only cutting we had to do was to fit the huge radiator he put in it.

  • wow, impressive. I thought you would have had to make room for the headers or at least notch the firewall for the dist. any new videos on the way?

  • Well we did have to bend back the firewall to fit the bellhousing for the c4 transmission. My brother made his own custom headers to fit. The transmission is getting fixed right now, hopefully I'll have some new video of it next weekend.

  • ah ok just wondered sounds great ,i been that way with my mustang and the shifter broke

  • anyway ya can get on it and out of first gear????????????

  • We didn't have the shifter in yet, so we just used a wrench to put it in first gear to drive it around the neighborhood.

  • sounds like a farm tractor

  • what do you have for gears?

  • 389 gears in the rear end.

  • Yeah, I have 3.73s in mine.

  • then just don't watch it ! If it was boring it wouldn't have been watched nearly 10'000 isn't it ! YOU boring

  • I got two ford Rangers and these Trucks can go though hell and still keep running.I wrecked my 1987 Ford Ranger totaled it but the truck runs good guess there right when they say built Ford Thogh.

  • that thing is badass

  • wats its best time on the track?

  • It's best time in the 1/4 mile was 12.84 @101 mph. The motor was only spinning 5300rpm when it ran that time. It should do mid-low twelves now that it spins 6000rpm.

  • I went through the same thing w/the radiator and all the de-bugging, but the end result was fun. Good luck & have fun.

  • badaSS

  • Man, that thing is noisy. From the V8 to that whining I'd go out of my mind hearing that all the time.

  • The distributor gear is the thing making that whinning noise. But don't worry that distributor gear broke after 250 miles on the motor. It broke going down the drag strip this past Saturday. My brother is going to use a bronze gear on the distributor instead of the stock one.

  • haha make sure when you get it out of the oven and go to put it on the distributor, it's on the right way. haha yes, I did that. What pain it was to get off. Nice ranger. My brother has a stroked 351 in his. More of an offroad truck, but still pulled a 12.9 in the quarter!

  • trust me that noisy gear will get on ur nearves, mine does, drives u nots if ur going on a few mile trip ,
