Do you have the measurements of the fuel tank that you removed from the car? I'm working on a project and it happens that this video was the only one on YouTube that had anything to do with a Smart Car fuel tank. I'm just looking for the length, width and height of the fuel tank but I've been unsuccessful everywhere else I've looked. Anything you have would be a great help. Thanks!
i've known about this for a while, while not taking the tank out, i fill up to the filler neck and it takes 1.7 gallons to hit 7/8's of a tank on the gage. i've gone 398 miles, then topped it off with 7.9 gallons, while the fuel gage read 1/8th, not even getting to the "1 gallon warning count down" which i've only seen twice in 2 years and it would then take 9 gallons.
nice to know i could go 1000 miles in my smart if i carried 2 five gallon cans in the back!
OMG are you finding out how many gallons the smart tank truly holds? this will settle the debate once and for all! How many gallons are those containers? What does the math say???????????
HAHA YES... Man it took me a whole day to figure out how to upload this video correctly, when it got one processing you watched it BEFORE I even posted the comments on it... anyways it'll be a couple hours before I'm done with it but... it works out to be 10.08 gallons!!!
