  • Cool tune!

  • from a cetain point irish ballades are similar to country music but I like both of them!!

  • I had a great time in Ireland...thanks a million

  • who sings this version?

  • Nice version (better than quite a few), but I still feel the High Kings version is the best

  • ENJOY MY ART.

  • UP THE RA'

  • Thanks for sharing, even diden't knew that such version exists!

  • I got a gay friend of mine who is under threats from Fred Phelps and his his bunch

Shirley Phelps has even threatened to kill his dog. My friend said he/she would cut her head off with a hoe.

You don't think I'll react to that.

    I guarandamntee ya I would.

Gun is the only way to rule.

If I saw her do that I'd blow her her fucking head off.

You don't kill animals for any reason.

  • For those that don't know this commemorates the Irish Rebellion of 1798.

  • It makes me want to go and go and hug my pikeman and sing Boolavogue to it . Com`n Wexford

  • great version

  • Thank you for the Patriot Act. If we're lucky, the Republicans will, someday, be back in power!!!!

  • Shit, thanks to the nigger Obama, we're not even gonna have a country left in 2012.

Then watch a real war come.

Every politician from the President on down, plus the money changers need to be put in prison for life.

    One day it will happen.

  • I would like to remind you, that true Irish men, and women, want a United Ireland based on the principles set down by James Connolly, a United 32 County Socialist republic, where no man, woman or child will be discriminated against. To hell with you and your racism, white men done a very good job making a complete balls of America, now the black man will go in and sort it out for once and for all!

  • its not a matter of race, were all american. this song is about the Irish rebellion of 1798. it has absolutely nothing to do with America or the modern era. Cant we just be proud of our ancestors and not try to relate it to today?

  • nt the best version iv hered bt still an amazing song

  • Who sings this?

  • Wonderful!

  • Tri colour drinks......grand. 5/5.

    TAL!

  • What's in them pretty dranks in the picture?

  • Tiocfaidh ár lá !!!!!!!!!!

  • These guys are good!! I almost like this version better then the rest of them!

  • Fax tu aman!

  • They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon. -BOBBY SANDS R.I.P

  • I agree Ireland should be free from England.

That was our result in 1776 from the USA

I hope you guys get free.

Now we have to fight for our freedom again

And we're willing to do just as 1776

  • Result in 1776 was from England.

    'Scuse the typo

This is greatest freedom song I ever heard.

We will fight for our freedoms again.

    A Tombstone here says:

    United States of America

    Born: July 4, 1776

    Died November 4, 2008

    SUICIDE

  • Yeah, well, there are lame people everywhere who think they're clever.

  • no. we died when bush was re-elected in 04. Hopefully we will be ressurected in the next four years. though yeah, i agree this is a great song of freedom.

  • The Patriot Act and the fear-mongering around the so called "War on Terror" killed America years ago. Kicking the Republicans out was the only way it could possibly be resurrected, and I don't know if even that will save it now.

  • Well right now we have a Constitutional Convention coming up and it will, we need is 2 more states. It expressly calls for abolishing the federal government, and with Bill of Rights and Constitution intact, it will turn into 9 regions of states. Once it pass Obama is out on his ass.

We c an do this at any time. Read out Declaration of Independence. It gives us a right to abolish the government.. It's the only way to stop the upcoming violence here.

This country will NOT survive the way it is.

  • Why do you think we're buying guns and ammo up like crazy. People don't want a communist for a president, and we do NOT want socialism.

The Tea Parties (millions of people turned out to raise hell) is just the start of a 2nd American Revolution.

Obama needs to go on trial for outright treason, which he has committed.

I'm sure you know the maximum penalty we have for that here. After he gets convicted, which he will, then it can legally be applied.

  • God forbid we share........

  • TIOCFAIDH AR LA

  • what's the name of that drink? ^^

  • i was thinking the same lol looks fuckin nice

  • Its called a tri colour. Creme de menthe is the green, Irish cream (Baileys) is the white, and the orange is cointreua a orange liquer.

  • thanks :)

  • Subcdriller

Love the Clancy Brothers' version of Rsing Of The Moon but must admit the haunting, melancholy strains of this version touches my heart more.

  • Heh, come now. This is a good version. But we've all been spoiled by the Clancy Brothers. Hard to live up to them, but I like this one as well. Thanks for posting.

  • Nah, Luke Kelly's version is by far the best.

  • You take unfair advantage, sir. To argue against Luke Kelly is to argue that the Shamrock isn't green. That said, I still prefer the Clancy Brothers version. However, your post made me listen to Mr. Kelley's version again, and it made me realize what is wrong with this version.

Buckoirl, I don't think the problem is that it's too slow. It's too rythmical. Too well spaced, and timed. The words blend too smoothly. I truly mean that. That is not the way this song should be sung.

  • Right.

This is like Pat Boone covering Little Richard.

  • LMAO! Well said, sir.

  • this is the same version i grew up on, we used to have this old cassette with a bunch of great versions of rebel songs. do you know who is singing this version?

  • I like this very much....great song...Prost :D

    5*****

  • There is a famous Irish drama with the same name.Perhaps everybody knows...Iwanted to share my information.

  • That last verse is seldom heard, and I'm glad to hear it...this song was about a war, and war has consequences--consequences that are all to ofen overlooked.

  • its a great song but i dont like this version its to slow

  • u right, it must be more speed ;)

  • maybe a few more explosions and a the starship enterprise would make it more along your lines?

  • its a great song but i dont like this version its to slow

  • What kind of drinks are those? They Look good.

  • Thank you!

  • my pleasure =)

  • UH AH UP THE 'RA!
