Sinceramente achei uma bobagem essa comparação. As duas são ótimas, cada artista tem seu brilho e sua contribuição para as pessoas independente de qualquer coisa. I´m a musical and literary translator, I work with singers and authors from America, Brazil and other countries. I love and respect brazilian music, I love Maria Rita, I love also Amy Winehouse, because I enjoy also rock and pop music. We just cannot compare to musical genres totally different. Either you're trying to promote Brazilian talent or trying to bash Amy, or maybe both. If you're going to compare artists, the only way to do it without appearing biased is to choose singers from the same genre (i.e. Beyonce and Rihanna, Britney and Christina). You can't rightfully compare two very different genres (i.e. Rascal Flatts and Rage Against the Machine). Samba against Jazz... depends on what people prefer.
