  • As an outsider (non-American), it's both scary and hilarious that there needs to be a YouTube video like this in 2011. The science in this video is grade-school knowledge over here... but maybe not in America? The only reason why there would have to be "debates" or discussions about creationism vs a science-based world view seems to be that the influence of religious groups is still very severe. Hopefully it will reduce naturally over time. Good luck (from Europe).

  • /watch?NR=1&v=NfLdgb5zeRE

  • "atheism is a pessimistic philosophy"

The sun burning us all up in a few billion years is kind of pessimistic, too, but wouldn't you rather base your life on reality?

  • or in other words FreeSillo...."keep fucking that chicken". if I can say that without bruising your tender wit, I do.

  • Only problem is I believe that Aristocus (not sure of the spelling) first developed the idea of the earth rotating around the sun. See this two part video by Carl Sagan The Library of Alexandria /watchv=qT_OrdrtZpk&playnext=1&list=PL267174966A82CB3C

  • @Killedkennyagain Yes, but Aristarcus (that's the right spelling) theory was not taken in serious consideration until the modern era, although based on good evidence.

His writings, anyway, did not arrive to us because they contraddicted the christian superstition, which was for all the middle age the source of our culture (or better: the base of our ignorance!).

Christians didn't burn only people, but ideas too (E.g.: the destruction of Alexandria Library in 3rd century made by "saint" Cyril).

  • @FreeSilio I realize that, but it is still true that he was the first, whether it was taken seriously (or even known at the time) or not. If the discovery was once made, then any subsequent discovery (if the information was lost) is a rediscovery.

  • @Killedkennyagain Agreed, but that's irrelevant to the purpose of this video, which is to show how religion was born from a pre-scientific mindset and it's been working (and still is) for centuries against the progress of human knowledge.

The fact that Aristarcus discovery has been covered up for that many centuries only reinforces the argument.

  • @FreeSilio and atheism is just a form of bigotry, also ignorant.

  • @romney27 NO. atheism is simply the rejection of unsupported claims about gods, so it is exactly the opposite of bigotry and ignorance.

I know you "believers" like to project on other people your own defects, but doing this makes you much more irrational and silly than you still are for your baseless "faith".

  • @FreeSilio that is laughable.... atheism is pure intolerance. I know you atheist don't go around respecting any one else beliefs. I think you should ask santa for a dictionary for Christmas.

I think ignorance is an adjective only rebuttal with no meat. You'd have to have the gumption to back up any of that with merit, but clearly you have none. I bet you cite fallacy names as fallacy...lo

  • @romney27 The only fallacy I've seen is your strawman argument, when you said "atheism is pure intolerance", despite I explained you the correct meaning of the term.

If that is the definition you find on your dictionary I can guess you really got it from Santa! :D

  • @Free unsurprisingly predictable as I suspected. your prowess is a little peter barely if at all.

I guess that would explain your fondness for assumption & invoking projection.... atheism is a pessimistic philosophy at best which runs contrary to the inherent nature of the human condition and mans need to make emotional connections by telling stories in order to create meaningful memories. Asking a behavioral biologist would verify that fact, but instead you witlessly wallow in adjectives. next

  • @romney27 "atheism is a pessimistic philosophy"

Once more a "definition" from your santa's dictionary? :D

Should I prefer the delusion of religious wishful thinking?

  • Hahaha lol yes the earth is 65billion years old guess that destroys the big bang timeline mutations occur all the time this doesn't prove evolution

  • Well you shouldn't believe the earth is that old because it is not... And whose to say we didn't walk with dinosaurs especially if dinosaurs are still alive today

  • So strange...I'm a christian and I believe in Gods creation but I believe the earth is 4.6 Billion years old...along with almost every Christian I have ever met. Matter a fact I have yet to meet one of these people that thinks we were around with T-Rex...never ever met one. Yet there are all of these videos making fun of Christians when a majority don't hold that belief. That is disrespectful and a false scientific accusation...BAD VIDEO BAD SCIENCE. Thumbs down..

  • @pony9999 you're right, but you can't win an arguement with these people. They've been told that their entire life, so they fear new ideas. Even with facts proving otherwise. Evolution happened, and they are too afraid to admit it. Religion is fear.

  • @cfhartin yea it is true everyone is so ignorant to life that they ignore the true facts so they still rely on there god

  • science vs bullshit

  • You fucking tard... you can believe you came from a rock....

  • Ok this whole atheism vs creationism needs to just fucking stop, Neither side has significant proof that there is or is not a god, Also i just want to point out that the big bang theory is complete bullshit, Science teaches us that one thing has to come from another and yet science creates a theroy that a cataclysmic explosion occured in NOTHINGNESS, the theroy itself is contradicting

  • @supershuu

not quite nothing, its very complicated, but basically it came from a big crunch and we are headed for a big crunch

and of course yout cant prove god doesnt exist by definition, cant prove allah doesnt exist ither, or the spagetti monster

  • Science should just give it up. God is real.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 want science to give up? then U should give up on your PC, TV,clothes,microwave,car,transport,candy,house...basically, everything, and then see what god gave u. u're so shortsighted, ignorant and arrogant that u try to bash the name of what makes life on Earth so much easyer, safer and more productive. P.S. evolution is not a fucking religion because there IS evidence for it. do some research, learn some stuff and stop trying to prove ur so-called god is real. show me PROOF!!!!

  • Evolution doesn't explain emotions. Love. Morality. How does evolution explain DNA. Ask any ex-atheist and they'll say that DNA changed their mind. God FTW.

  • @Renasboyfriend1

evolution does explain emotions, because we have an increased awareness of a wider range of emotions than animals.

how does evolution explain dna? other way round. dna explains evolution. if your dna says you will hae short legs and run slow, then you will be caught by a predator, get hit by a car etc, and that gene is not passed on to the next generation. thats just basic biology, surely they taught you that at school?.

  • @pony9999 im in track and field and i lost some races..does it mean that my DNA will evolve that will make me faster and win? thats stupid..DNA is too complex to be an accident..i did research on plant systems and genetic coding of plants..no way its a accident..what your saying is that you..whoever you are..your a accident..made with no purpose to live..that you are nothing but a accident..is that how you want to think of yourself?

  • @Renasboyfriend1

"no way is it an accident" well if that the level of your reasoning, it will obviously be impossible to explain DNA to you.

"does it mean that my DNA will evolve that will make me faster and win? thats stupid" for goodnes sake use some common sence, primary schools pupils understand how evolution works. thats the typical argument against evolution

type into google - south park quotes retard monkey

  • @pony9999 No way you can explain DNA to me when I am in biology and I have been studying it for dayssssss..plant and animal DNA. I know what evolution does, I just gave an example the stupid example you gave me. I'm sure my example is stupid to you bc it uses same logic of speed. Man for real I think you in high school and you think you know biology but you know minuscule amounts of it. And know your story about evolution. The cell didn't just "appear " on Earth out of nothing

  • @Renasboyfriend1

    ok

    1) Read your paragraph back to yourself, correcting any spelling or grammatical errors.

    2) Study biology for more than "daysss"

    3) no your example used the same logic as southpark, if you run your dna will evolve so you are faster? evolution takes hundreds of years, you dont just wake up with sprinters legs

  • @pony9999 hundreds of years? People been living in the desert for thousands of years and still haven't evolved into needing less water to survive. Human beings cannot survive without water for 3 days to 5. Now thats all mankind. Why doesn't it change? Why doesn't it change to be longer for people in the desert? Human beings have been the same since creation and we haven't evolved from anything else.

  • Comment removed

  • @Renasboyfriend1

how can you not understand you dont just grow invincible

you slightly improve to help in your situation.people living in a desert situation have a metabolism that is more equipped to deal with the heat for example, or some people can cope with high altitude

  • @pony9999 camels for some reason carry water and can survive weeks without water. Now if evolution did that to a camel, why can't it do it for anything else? Plants have it. Plants in the desert do not ^^^go through photosynthesis. I mean evolution has all these amazing snerios of why it is, but for a human to still die 3 days without water is unexplainable. You were created to adjust to differences in the environment. Intelligent design.

  • @Renasboyfriend1

humans are 200 000 years old,

camels are 50 million, they have been evolving for longer. thats why

  • @pony9999 I would love to know how you know that for sure. Remember it is only a theory. Camels are 50 million years old? Was anybody there to record that? Humans are 200,000 years old? Evolutionists change it so much, one day it's a million one day it's 10,000 one day its 500,000. Science changes it doesn't know. Intelligent design doesn't change. It makes sense over..."we think camels came from Europe migrated to the desert then evolved to carry more water." no one was there to see that

  • @Renasboyfriend1

    its a site called wikipedia,

    they dont change it

no no one was there but you can date it with carbon dating, archeology and other evidence, like counting rings in a tree

you see with science, you just need a little faith

  • @pony9999 So you expect me to have faith in a theory and you won't have faith in a God that created it all? The Earth is no more than 10,000 years old. And archeology doesn't have evidence for the age of man if no one was around to record anything a million years ago. Everything is designed.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 well you have to look at the earth itsefl dumbass they know that our sun will die and know who were the first humans stop being ignorant the first human weren't Adam and Eve the first humans came from Africa they know because they found bones of the first humans your just a stupid ignorant person we can't live with god forever

  • @gato123452 Isnt cussing me out and callIng me a dumba*** ignorant on your part? No one knows wgen the sun will die let alone no one will know when you will die. Tomorrow next second. You cant figure that out and you expect me to believe they know when a star will? You said it wasnt adam and eve? Ok. How do you know? You speak like you know what happened. You werent there. No one was. The Bible tells us. If u have blind faith over science, why bash my faith over a Creator?

  • @Renasboyfriend1 Iwasn't there when the dinosaurs roamed the earth... I wasn't there when the whole world was a lot colder than it is now, that is why the mammoths died when ice age ended. However, they left behind some fossilized skulls, skeletons, prints, evidence that they existed. You weren't there when the big flood happened, did you find the ark yet? That's our difference. I believe in facts. You believe in the tooth fairy period.

  • @HENRY55994 A science book says evolution is right. The Bible says God created it. Yet you believe a book also. Without you, actually testing it yourself? Faith in scientists. Argument of faith is won bc you have faith in what the science book says. Show ignorance. Tooth fairy? Really? When u graduate from high school? 2 years?

  • @Renasboyfriend1 Blind faith isn't a reason to believe. Credible verifiable evidence is a reason to believe. No creator's existence is supported with credible verifiable evidence. Scientific Theories are supported with credible verifiable evidence & continual testing & are the best explanation we have for Natural PhenomenaThe BUY BULL is filled with contradictions & condones Atrocities such as Rape Torture Misogyny Slavery & Genocide. It condemns people of different faith & people without faith.

  • @tranquility4all Yes. Show your ignorance and lack of knowlegde of the Bible. Its funny seeing this bc you said the same thing 3 times lol dont argue with a person that studies biology for a living. Saving you the embarrassment.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 I suggest You put down Your BUY BULL & read a Science Book. You're choosing to live in a state of Willful Ignorance. Science EXPLAINS, scripture INDOCTRINATES. Read about the Scientific Method & hopefully You will understand why Science is the most reliable process We have for discerning truth. Religion demands You to close Your mind & accept its' preachings without Question. Science opens Your mind to numerous possibilities in a search for better understanding of Truth.

  • @tranquility4all Im in a Biology major little dick so dont come at me like idk science. Yea i cant see God, however, you claim Science over a Creator. I suggest looking in detail of DNA. And how perfectly designed it is. So when you get out of high school let me know and i can debate. Bc ill own you so bad that youll make all athiests look bad. Stop while your ahead. No im not scared. No use arguing with a less intelligent person that knows minimal about Biology. Bye.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 You majored in biology ? You sound like you haven't attended Kindergarten. You're an irrational willfully ignorant ASS HOLE if you believe in intelligent design. So when You start thinking rationally try resenting an argument supported with credible evidence instead o ASSerting the existence of a god & presenting arguments from ignorance.

  • @tranquility4all Wow...athiests, when losing a argument resort to insulting. Its ok. Its not everyday you debate a Christian with a biology degree. But i do meet athiests that know minimal science and claim to say they have an argument. Yea. Assert your evidence to disprove God.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 Do You accept the claim that Big Foot exists until someone refutes it ? You're very stupid to believe a god exists until someone refutes your belief. Do you accept a prosecutions claim of guilt until the defense proves the defendant's innocence ? Wake Up you moron. Positive claims are to be Questioned or Rejected until they're supported with sufficient evidence.

  • @tranquility4all So basically all you said is that you cant disprove God. Ok. All i wanted to know.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 You can't even Define a god in Specific Terms NOR Present Any credible verifiable evidence to support Your ASSertion that a god exists. You also fail to understand the Burden of Proof rests with You because You claim to know a god exists. Positive claims of existence have to be demonstrated before they're accepted. I don't have to prove a god doesn't exist. Do You believe Thor, Allah, Zeus & Big Foot exist until someone proves they Don't exist ?

  • @tranquility4all No the burden of proof is on you to claim that there is no God. 70-80% of the world believes there is a God. So your claim that there is no God needs proof. The difference between God and greek gods is bc they were myths. Man made those gods and symbols. B4 you tell me that the Bible was written by men, remember that everything in it is God inspired and has no errors.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 An Argumentum mad populum does not support the existence of a god. The Burden of proof is always on the person making a positive claim to present credible evidence NOT on the person rejecting the claim. Do You believe a Prosecution's claim of guilt until the defense proves their innocence ? Your claim of Biblical inerrancy is laughable. You need to learn How to present a RATIONAL ARGUMENT because all you're doing is preaching.

  • @tranquility4all ok. Simple question....if you dont know how the Universe started, and laws say energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed...how can evolution start? Bc if you see around, everything is designed. DNA is a perfect example. 4 amino acids make it up. And yet it is nearly impossible for DNA to have an error. 1 and 10 billion chance itll have an error. And when there is 1, it corrects itself using RNA. Thats watered down but thats designed.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 And how do you explain mutation? babies that are born with with two heads ? Is mutation part of an intelligent design? You are NOT a biologist like you pretend to be. You're a prick trying to convince others of your backward and dark aged belief of an invisible All powerful yet All absent God in the skies.

  • @HENRY55994 Mutations are made by enviromental issues. But in a sense God made man in the beginning perfect. Man screwed up and now we are not perfect. You seem to be one of those athiests that believe in evolution as the answer yet dont know how Earth ended up in this exact spot of the solar system in perfect alignment. Perfect distance from the sun. Doesnt mean you do see it doesnt mean it exists..do you see love? You know that exists....gravity...no but you know that exists.

  • @Renasboyfriend1

Are you suggesting we should sometimes wake up on a planet that isn't a perfect distance from the sun? That you should be born to your mother and father who lived for thirty years on the sunny side of Mercury without noticing it was hot until the instant they give birth to you, and then you all burn to death? That's ridiculous.

Of course it looks perfect. You're an Earthling. You're adapted for Earth. Martians would wonder how we stand the heat and crushing oxygen atmosphere.

  • @rkyeun:

    There arent any martians !

  • @AnnoyingTypoSyndrome

Thus disproving the idea that the universe is fine-tuned for life.

  • @rkyeun:

    EXCEPT HERE !

(for no apparent reason, of course)

  • @AnnoyingTypoSyndrome

Nope. There aren't any martians here either.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 In case you don't know, statistically speaking, more than 95% of Scientists mostly biologists accept evolution, in case you do have a biology degree like you claim to, you're one of those few who refute evolution merely because of your religion and nothing else. You can't prove an invisible God by your being a biologist ( if you really are one) so it doesn't really matter.

  • @HENRY55994 I refute evolution bc it is based on guesstimated numbers, and more hypotheses than actual facts. Im guessing you arent in the science field so you hace faith in scientists to be right with their numbers. Yet you criticize me for having faith in a supernatural being. I have a God and scientists are your god. Looking by your past comments, your a waste of time arguing with. I wish an actial intelligent person would agrue with me. Not people who watch discovery channel

  • @Renasboyfriend1 You're delusional if You believe creationism is supported with credible evidence & ASSert Evolution is nothing more than guess work. Put down Your BUY BULL & read about the Scientific Method. Maybe You will understand Why it's the best method We have for EXPLAINING Natural Phenomena. Your ASSertions that creationism is real & that You have refuted Evolution reveals what a credulous irrational Numb Skull You are.

  • @tranquility4all Ok. Since you seem to know everything about science, considering the law of conservation of energy and thermodynamics, what created life and what start the Universe?

  • @Renasboyfriend1 I don't know what is the cause for the origins of the Universe & neither do You. When We're not sure all it means is We don't have an EXPLANATION. You're ASSuming a god exists because We don't have an explanation & that is nothing more than an ARGUMENT FROM IGNORANCE ! I don't know anything about history ? Apparently You never read about or refuse to acknowledge the INQUISITIONS. I have no proof of Evolution ? Read about the Theory of Evolution & the Scientific Method. .....

  • @tranquility4all You dont know the cause of the universe or how life even started and yet you criticize me for following a unseen God? Haha your more stupid than i originally thought. You seem like you won and yet you just say the same thing over and over again lol i told you what the inquicision was and you like all athiests shut up bc you realize your handling a christian 20x smarter than you. Man if you cant explain the origin of the universe then evolution cant exist.

  • @tranquility4all Inqusicions happened in spain. Cmon i explained it 3 times. Anyways, Nothing can appear from nothing. There would have to be a "Uncaused Cause". God is that. He is uncaused that caused everything you see. I see God fron all the biological designs in all species. You ask why i dont accept evolution as a biologist? Bc i see flawless design in the plant systems. To know not all plants release carbon dioxide. That plants can convert photon light energy in nano seconds.

  • @Renasboyfriend1

    > Nothing can exist without a cause.

    > So God must exist without a cause.

  • @tranquility4all And who is this we? Im pretty sure your not a geologist, biologist, molecular biologist, chemist, physicist, nor a astronamer. Do put a "we" like your part of the discovery. You in your person have no proof of evolution nor a explanation to disprove God. You are a simple follow of whatever scientist says no matter what they say. Tell me why we need to pro create sexually instead of asexually?

  • @Renasboyfriend1 I don't have to disprove god. A lack of credible verifiable evidence is the reason i reject all claims that a god exists. You're proving your ignorance by stating the Burden of proof is on people to refute a claim, Do You believe Big Foot exists until someone disproves its' existence ? You haven't even defined a god in specific terms nor presented ANY credible evidence to support its' existence. Wake Up ! Claims of Existence have to be demonstrated NOT claims of NON Existence.

  • @tranquility4all All your saying is you cant disprove God. I asked you a question and you ignore it bc of lack of knowledge and just wanna seem "smart". You dont know anything about evolution other what they teach you in 6th grade. Or high school. High school degree...biology degree....hmmmm i think i win. I cant prove God? Haha coming from the guy who cant defend the origin of at least the stars and galaxies. Hey maybe the scientific method will help you! Grow up kid stay in school.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 I am not claiming to be a scientist you dumfuck! Evolution is NOT based on guesses and estimation. Scientists, Paleoanthropologists and evolutionary biologists to be exact calculate base on fossilized remains on rocks and soil they have some methods, carbon dating is one, and NOT by mere guessing. The Earth is about 65 billion years old and NOT 6 thousand years old like your Bible suggests.

  • @HENRY55994 The Bible never claims to be 6,000 years old. Theologians grt that estimate by how the years start in the book of Genesis. But no one knows if time started after or before the garden. Earth could be millions of years old. Could be. Idk. Idc bc it is relevant to me or how i percieve God. All i need to know He created it. What God did in 7 days perfectly evolution couldnt do in millions of years.

  • @Renasboyfriend1

Until the Bible says the stars were created BEFORE the Earth, and plants created AFTER the Sun, it doesn't matter whether the Bible puts things in the wrong order over seven days or over seven eons.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 You believe i have a little dick. You're proving You have a comatose brain ! If You believe a god exists try presenting a RATIONAL ARGUMENT. Define god in specific terms & present credible verifiable evidence (NOT scripture, personal revelations, logical fallacies or an Argumentum ad Popuulm) to support your positive claim. Time for You to PUT UP or SHUT UP !

  • @tranquility4all You cannot prove God in a lab with test tubes and beakers bc He is Spiritual. You cannot see air but you feel it by the wind. You see God in all creation. From the perfection to our DNA and how it replicates and changes. You see God in the perfection of the Universe. God is invisible to human eyes. Your case is basically, if i dont see it i dont believe it. Ok. Let me ask you, what started life?

  • @gato123452 well does your bible no how god looks like NO!! every sun dies and when our sun dies the earth will die and no life, and when you say how do we know well there is something called Carbon, ice and rocks they help us know how old things are even though we weren't there. Science is way more right than your god is

  • @gato123452 Yea no use arguing with you either. The Bible describes God. Ice doesnt prove anything bc its only frozen water. Like in your freezer. Rocks are made from thousands of years of pressure and heat. Not evidence for evolution. No one knows the age of the Earth. Everything had to start from a un caused cause which is God. Law of thermodynamics says matter isnt created or destroyed, thats scientic law, so what started matter?

  • @Renasboyfriend1 It also condemns people because of their Sexual Orientation. Why believe a Book filled with contradictions which condones Atrocities ? You don't need faith to accept Scientific Theories. Just follow the Evidence. Faith is the only reason/excuse You have for believing a god exists. Faith is acceptance in the absence of evidence or in the presence of contradictory evidence. If You have evidence, You won't need faith. If You believe the earth is only 10,000 yrs. .....

  • @tranquility4all Obviously either you havent read the Bible, orrrrr you read a verse that seemed to be a contradiction without reading everything else that follows. You dont have to be Christian to know that homosexality is immoral and unnatural. Man and woman is natural. Thats how you were born. If you claim evolution, its natural selection. Where in the enviroment do we need to evolve to be homos? Disruption of natural order. Too easy.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 You sound like a Homophobe who condemns people who don't live according to your standards. Consenting people have a right to engage in any form of SEX ! The BUY BULL condones Atrocities. Take a course in remedial reading. You're proving You're either an apologist for the BUY BULL or an Illiterate Irrational Brain Dead religious zealot. STOP EMBARRASSING YOURSELF !

  • @tranquility4all Yes a college guy with a degree and studying to be a biologist needs remedial....smh...athiests these days....they get more stupid every year. The Bible teaches love and peace. Ever see a Christian hi jack a plane and smash it in buildings? Or see a Christian kill innocent people with a bomb? Idk why i argue with retard athiests. And i didnt condemn anyone. Listen your not gonna win this debate due to the fact that im alottt smarter than you. Its just facts.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 Ever read about the INQUISITIONS ? How about the Crusades ? Christians have tortured people for Centuries ! Your abundance of Willful Ignorance complements Your excess of STUPIDITY !

  • @tranquility4all Crusades were caused by the catholics. And if you know any history, it was bc the muslims were invading other countries killing people. So it was to stop them. And what happened in spain, like i said b4 was caused by catholics. Dont say its the same religion bc its not. Catholics killed Christians in those times. Know history b4 speaking.

  • @Renasboyfriend1 Claims of existence are to be questioned or rejected until sufficient evidence supports them. Christians are NOT responsible for Atrocities ? Read about the INQUISITIONS ! Christians have been waging War (CRUSADES) against people of different faith & people without faith. I suggest You read about History & STOP being an APOLOGIST for christians. You Question the Theory of Evolution You haven't refuted it. What credible evidence & testing methodology supports creationism ?

  • @tranquility4all You know nothing about history. Read how the inqusition started. Christians were being killed. Catholics killed christians and jews. But the crusades were caused bc muslims were invading countries and killing people. Catholics waged war to stop that. To have evolution you need a start of life. A beginning. Scientific laws say matter nor energy can be created nor be destroyed only transformed. How can energy transform from nothing? What created energy?

  • Comment removed

  • @Renasboyfriend1 In case you don't know (AGAIN. Wew ! There is a lot that you don't know obviously ) There are more Christians in prison than Atheists so don't tell me that crap! Have you really read your bible? The old testament contains nothing but the anguish of your jealous 'god' who ordered the slaughter of innocent women and children FYI. Not to mention your holy babble advocates slavery etc...

  • @Renasboyfriend1 Evolution takes place in a matter of hundreds of millions of years. Humans have not been there inhabiting the hot regions like the middle east for that long to give way to evolution. To add, humans have evolved with bigger brains to use to create tools to contain water, so that they have water whenever they need some and didn't have to evolve like the camels and cactuses. I hope you get that.

  • @HENRY55994 Ok. Which one came first man or women? Or better yet...if you know the laws of conservation of energy and thermodynamics, how did life begin?

  • Comment removed

  • @Renasboyfriend1 To be honest, I sense an enormous amount of ignorance and stupidity in your comments here. Why do people who are living in the desert didn't evolve into humans who need less water? Is this your argument?????? I t is because they drink water as much as we do and propably more. What does it have to do with evolution????????????????????????

  • @ drink more water than we do? Yes a country full of rivers and lakes doesnt drink as much water as people living in the desert....way to make yourself look extremely stupid. Ill ask a simple question to see if you know any science, without googling it, what makes your physical apperance DNA or proteins?

  • @Renasboyfriend1 You continually prove You don't understand who has the Burden of Proof. You don't know how to present a RATIONAL ARGUMENT because all you're doing is preaching. You sound like nothing more than an irrational brain dead theist who can't even define the god you worship. Your abundance of willful ignorance complements your excess of stupidity. Don't bother replying because Your inane comments are not worth reading. I've wasted enough time with you. GOOD BYE !

  • @Renasboyfriend1 ice and rocks have been telling us the age of the earth and im talking the ice in Antartica which is millions of years old and the earth from the dessert and rivers tell us many things too, but it doesn't matter what i say your are just going to beleive in god forever and besides humanity won't last forever, since the sun made us it can also kill us

  • @gato123452 Your last statement made me lose interest in "debating" you. If your gonna Say something, say something relevant to what is according to science.

  • The Bible isn't a science book. Evolutionists rely on other people to update them on what's going on. So in reality, they have faith in what they believe. Which makes it a religion. Study the cell. Tell me that all that complexity is mashed up by accident.

  • No way for any reason should biological science be downgraded to the point where it's put up for the comparison with religious superstition.

  • Apparently Galileo mumbled at the end of his speech "and she still turns". Or so the story goes.

  • ...time it's not, but I dont want to get into it right now since it's on what I believe.

  • I do think on both sides of religion and science but I believe in the christian religion, and not because of proof but because of faith.. To be honest, I haven't read the whole bible or studied that much of evolution but it still don't make sense to me how evolution just started like the theory said... I can see how we could've evolved from apes but we weren't there when it happened to prove it. And I have some reasons on the evolution theory that makes the theory seem so true and at the same t

  • @FunkyBiRDFilms yh but we wernt there when god created adam and eve and told them to multiply so u cant prove that either

  • @Lietuva21 I never said I could, dude. See, I understand how science has all the evidence unlike religion just has faith and lets say, the bible, to the christian belief. But since science has evidence, they still dont have evidence of when we evolved, obviously because it took a while to evolve, at a slow process, and also because we were just apes at the time, so we werent really there to record it, but i still doubt it even though there is other proof...

  • @Lietuva21 I have other hypothesis on what might be but im just gonna keep them to myself. Sometimes i doubt my religion because of science, but evolution isnt fully proven, and like my science teacher said, the evolution theory is still changing..

  • The reason they say the world is around billions of years old is because science thinks that it takes billions of years for evolution from then to now, we weren't around for billions of years so we can't say the Earth is that old... There are probably other reasons but evolution is one if them, and the evolution theory keeps changing so... To me, I don't believe in evolution...

  • @FunkyBiRDFilms Evolution is actually a fact, the trouble is comprehensively piecing it together to find all origins not just our own! so you have weighed up the following facts

BIBLE - the earth is 10000yrs old, we came from dust, the sun revolves around us, there are 4 corners of the earth, the first testament was wrong so an editor in the name of jesus made the new one with 12 guys.

do you consider yourself Rational and Objective? if you did you would study both evolution and the bible

  • WARNING 1tabligh CUTS AND PASTES HIS COMMENTS. I HAVE FOUND THE EXACT SAME COMMENTS ON SEVERAL VIDEOS.

HE DOES NOT ADDRESS THE ARGUMENT.

  • either to create itself or to violate any of the laws that rule over it, it follows ineluctably that it is unable to create other beings and the laws regulating them. How, then, can it be believed that lowly matter should engage in the creation and origination of higher beings or have the power to bestow existence on lofty phenomena?

  • Of course, removing the "restrictions" of logic is the only way belief in the unobservable and untestable can be justified sans outright self-deception.

    "It COULD be true."

    Yeah, it COULD be true...

Doesn't mean it IS, or is even LIKELY.

    Food for thought.

  • Wrong bud. Religion was not born that way.

  • @EGMAG Enlighten me. how was it born?

  • i like this video :) it is calmly, and well explaned :) and it isnt just some atheist shouting for a few minutes XD XD XD

  • Creationism is bullshit.

Bible pure version is even more acceptable than that huge amount of shit they call creationism theory.

  • 35 people actually dislike these facts.

  • @AdoptReality Or the story is total BS to begin with.

  • If you find yourself thinking that you've experienced personal "miracles" consider how many others have experienced them in completely different religions.

  • Wouldn't it be funny to put religion to the same test we put the rest of our knowledge to?

Religion A claims that if you pray to their god, x, y and z will happen.

Religion B claims that if you pray to their god, y will happen.

So lets test for y and see which religion is true.

We run the experiment and neither religion's claims hold at all. What do we conclude? Both of them are false.

    So easy.

    Next.

  • @AdoptReality tests like these have already been performed... but the fundamentalist theist balks at the results. Usually stating that the praying wasn't done by a true believer.

  • @chyrd

True. And it's amazing that an otherwise reasonable person can see such obvious contradiction and press on believing in the fairy tale.

  • @AdoptReality i'm not trying to start an argument, so please don't get defensive. but you were speaking about miracles, and tell me how you explain this. a friend of mine went to the doctor and discovered she had 12 cysts on her ovaries; she was told she would need surgery immediately. her church prayed like crazy for the two days prior to the surgery. taylor went back to the doctor, and somehow, all the cysts were gone.

  • @xTheEmilyx

Which is more likely: 1) she was misdiagnosed, 2) they went away on their own, 3) there was some exaggeration involved or 4) A supernatural being acted on her but NOT the thousands of babies suffering, in spite of much prayer, from horrible diseases or accidents all over the world?

    You tell me.

These type of stories are common among superstitious people all over. Yet NEVER do any of these gods act in a way that can be measured. scientifically.

    Hmmm.

  • @xTheEmilyx Doctors also amputate the wrong limbs still too..... .sometimes on the wrong patients. mistakes can be made. That being said. there's plenty of reason to believe in science over religion especially in regard to the natural world. As no god has ever shown himself in natural circumstances. I wish one would. But alas, none yet.

  • @Horathgar42 ...plenty of reason to believe in science over religion ...no god ...

    _______

    The atheist Delusion!

Your delusions that science has put out the notion of God is purely *rhetorical* and has nothing to do with logical method, because even thousands of scientific experiments could not possibly suffice to demonstrate that no non-material being or factor exists.

Your claim is nothing more than a *fanatical* illusion based on unproven theories. ...

  • Views such as these derive directly from a system of thought centered on materialism; within it, everything is defined and delimited with reference to materialism.

To interpret materialism in such a sense is in the final analysis strictly meaningless; it would be a superstitious notion involving the perversion of truth, and to regard it as scientific would, in fact, be *treason* to science.

Even if the followers of a religious school of thought had no proofs for their claim, ...

  • @1tabligh Fine fine, I'll give you that, Its a knee jerk reaction. I'll say this the lack of evidence strongly points to no god, or at least any god we claim to know.

If science is any indicator of how reality works, Then its pretty safe to say the assumptions made by the author of the abrahamic faiths are fairly wrong.

If there is a creator, none of us have any clue what we're talking about when we say we "know" him. To think otherwise is ... stretching the truth.

  • @Horathgar42 If science is....how reality works,

    ____

What is called science by the *science-worshippers* of the present age and regarded by them as equivalent to the sum total of *reality*, is simply a collection of laws applicable to a single dimension of the world. The result of all human effort and experimentation is a body of knowledge concerning a minute bright dot comparable to the dim light of a candle-surrounded by a dark night enveloping a huge desert of indefinite extent.

  • Before he enters the realm of science and knowledge with all its concerns, man is able to perceive certain truths by means of these innate perceptions. But after entering the sphere of science and philosophy and filling his *brain* with various proofs and deductions, he may forget his natural and innate perceptions or begin to doubt them. It is for this reason that when man moves beyond his innate nature to delineate a belief, differences begin to appear. ...

  • @1tabligh It is after a child enters the sphere of religion that it must put aside all "various proofs and deductions" not to mention logic, and to accept fairy tales based on ancient wisdom. This IS faith.

To accept the four books of the NT as fact, is to ignore one innate perceptions of logic.

  • God and Empirical Logic.

One of the most destructive and misleading factors in thoughts concerning God is to restrict one's thought to the "logic" of the empirical sciences and to *fail* to recognize the *limits* and boundaries of that "logic".

Is that which is necessary in essence and which is considered the first source of existence matter itself or something else beyond the limits of matter?

  • @1tabligh If you haven't figured out the "material" world yet, try not eating or going to the bathroom for a week.

  • @gjsterp

    God and Empirical Logic.

Materialism looks at the world with one eye *closed* and, as a result, is unable to answer numerous questions!

Materialism imagines that lowly objects are the source for the emergence of higher objects without troubling to ascertain whether the higher, in fact, exists at the level of the lower. If lowly matter is unable even at the highest stage of its development, namely thought and reflection— ....

  • @1tabligh Will you PLEASE stop cutting and pasting the same comments?

Give us something new besides the same old rhetoric.

  • @gjsterp According to the dialectic, things are the result of motion in matter, and the motion of matter is an essential product of matter itself, since matter contains contradictions that undergo internal struggle. Let us examine this dialectical explanation by applying it to the scientific truths that we have already learned about the world, so that we can see the consequence.

Simple elements are of different kinds.

  • Every simple element has an atomic number that pertains to it. The higher the element, the larger is its number. This goes on until the progression reaches uranium, which is the highest and most superior element. Science has also shown that the matter of these simple elements is one and common to all [of them]. That is why it is possible to transform these elements into one another.

But then how did the numerous kinds of elements arise in that common matter?

  • @1tabligh I see you know a little about atomic theory. I knew that when I was about 12.

Now study a little about the formation of the heavier elements in stars and especially super nova.

  • @1tabligh I see you know a little about atomic theory. I knew that when I was about 12.

Now study a little about the formation of the heavier elements in stars and especially super nova.

Presently it still is a mystery of how the heaviest elements have formed.

But, those up to iron have been explained. It is just a matter of time before the others are also.

  • @gjsterp On the basis of dialectical change, the answer can be summed up as follows. Maser developed from one stage to a higher stage, until it reached the level of uranium. In light of this, the hydrogen element must have been the starting point in this development, since it is the lightest of simple elements. Hydrogen develops dialectically by virtue of the contradiction that is involves internally. By means of the dialectical development, it becomes a higher element - that is, the helium

  • element which, in turn, contains its contradictory. Thus, the struggle between negation and affirmation, the negative aspect and the positive aspect, ignites once again, until matter enters a new stage where a third element is produced. This is how matter continues its progression in accordance with the atomic table.

  • to conclude firmly and forcibly that non- being reigns beyond the sensory realm would be a non-scientific choice, based on imagination and speculation.

Some people try to propagate this *fantasy* in the garb of science and to present their choice as having been dictated by scientific thought. In the final analysis, however, the denial involved in such an assertion is unworthy of science and philosophy, and even *contradicts* empirical logic.

  • I love this vid

  • Dinosaurs are real right? but why it didnt mention in bible?

  • The renaissance was an amazing time of learning, engineering, and art. I dont remember any amazing things happening in the renaissance, but if there was, please tell me. I think that science was much more accepted in the renaissance, the start of the modern world(sort of).
