From the video I believe the pilot pull too much break. This is preventable with better training and understanding/feeling of the wing movement while in the air.
Look the video at 1:03~1:08 you can clearly see that the pilot pull too much break. almost at waist level. And the paramotor that he used is high hp which contribute to the wing stall.
My concern is falling like that can easily break the pilot back and fuse his vertebra. Lucky in this incident only his paramotor that was damaged. I hope no serious injury to the pilot.
from accounts of eyewitnesses and obviously from the video, he unknowingly stalled the glider (Paramania Revolution) while attempting a hovering manuver in the strong and gusty wind condition. This is a self-taught ppg pilot and may not fully understand the concept of wing stall. The other one is a very experienced local pilot who is very familiar with the glider he was using, Silex., so he had more success demonstrating the hovering, i.e., zero-ground-speed flying.
What actually happen to the pilot? Is he ok? He shouldn't pull the toggle too much.. and he should have aware that his glider doesn't have forward movement before that thing happens (1:01). If u watch more, another pilot is landing.. and he too doesn't know how to handle a wing in a strong wind. He should have pull the D line to make sure the glider 'killed' properly.. or the B line to make sure that the 'kill' was done properly.

My suggestion is retraining on the glider handling instead of more paramotoring especially in very windy condition.
