  • thanks man!

  • I would'nt exactly call it a lesson, its a very good guide :) I couldn't have figured out what the heck the tabs at Ultimate Guitar were trying to tell me without your help. Thanks!

  • Randy roads LP and strap :D?!

  • Thanks!!!! :D

  • this isnt so much a lesson as a "watch me play it slow for you , you dont explain what you are doing or what the general approach is with each bar"

  • @heber810 see the top comment below dated 1 year ago to MrMoppy211

  • hey, you haven't posted the second solo, the one near the end!!! I'd appreciate if you would do me a favor and post that! Thank you!

  • how do you prolong the guitar sound withou lose the volume and tune?

  • you'r good teacher thanks you very much I really wanted play this song

  • Hello. you play it very well.

I have 2 quations, you used 0.9 or 0.10 strings?

and how do you work about the bands? do you have special trainings?

you have an amazing bands dude

  • What pickups are these?

  • excelente video.....

  • did u used any pedals?

  • How do you like the alienware computer?

  • @Traxxasisbeast123 I haven't had had that computer for a while now... they're overpriced and underperforming, I just build my own gaming rigs now, much cheaper, and dell doesn't control what components I use.

  • thank you for posting this i probably paused it like 200 times and rewound but you right really listening to the music and working through it without some1 guideing me the whole ay isvery rewarding thankyou!

  • I Love your guitar i want to buy it!!!

    BTW nice solo

  • no matter what i do it sounds like shit, im never gonna learn any solo.

  • @yosti22 Dont give up....I was thinking that at first but i got through. Trust me i couldnt play any solos let alone have them sound crappy lol!! So just keep practicing, guitar playing isnt rocket science lol! You will get there eventually :D!

  • @shammakenpatchi ty for the good comment, i wont give up and practice more!

  • @neosonic66 Friend, i own a EMG 85-81 kit on my LTD MH-250. I just coudn't get a good tone from them, so i decided to sell the kit and buy a pair of Seymour's Alnico Pro II. Then, i came here to take a lesson on November Rain solo and saw you getting a fucking Slash'ish tone from them? Tone knob rolled all the way down, mids on 11, drive on 11, reverb and what else?

  • can you do standard tunning

  • @RockieRocker17 you can play this in standard tuning, just play everything I showed you one fret lower, it's really just easier to tune a half-step down

  • @neosonic66 What makes it easier? Is it so you can more easily hit the notes when you are all the way up the fret board? Thanks, great vid man!

  • @kasanj It's played tuned a half-step down, so if you don't change the tuning, you would have to transpose all the notes one fret lower to hit the same pitch as the actual record.

  • i see an alienware ..:D

  • @tayssir3031 He really has some cool stuff!!!!! The expensive gibson and alienware show that... :P

  • too fast but what u say agains mrmoppy221 whas good

  • so where's the second solo?

  • @suuuuuperman as per the description, my lesson of the second solo is up for free on vanderbilly (dot) com, you can search for it on there and it should pop up for you

  • @neosonic66

oh, sorry mate. Well thank you very much for that ;)

  • @neosonic66 but its a joke !!! YOUR are a god !! :)

  • My grand-ma do it better ^^

  • AWSOME LESSON MAN! im almost done learning it! Thanks MAn u rock!!

  • you are the best good song!!!

  • is the alienware you pc?

  • pass me the tablature plase

  • Open D#

  • i loveeee it :D:D:D:D:D:D

  • i want your guitar,:B

  • dude its ovesome

  • good man every thing colapsed

    XD

  • thanks for this lesson! it was really helpful. i like how it was straight to the point and didn't drag on.

  • ahhh so you teach it huh accept my challenge

  • i challenge anyone to record this song on guitar and be better then me at it, point start off the solo will be 4:09 video time to jump to the solo and the solo ends at 5:02. the deal is clearness and smoothness . if i cant beat you at this challenge not only will i admit i SUCK AND YOUR GOD but will do any song you ask and make an ASS out of my self posting how good i am and wreck it and personally tell everyone and send your version to at least 100 people recommended from me.

  • Thanks man! Big help.

  • 80 people have no brain

  • tabs????????

  • ...thats great huh! that's my favorite solo but i cant get it!

  • Wow, best out there, I had to re do it, because I knew other version without half step, but it SUCKED!!! This one is the original I believe , thanks.!

  • wow its took from me 4 hours to learn it

  • nice!!

  • WHAT KIND OF DISTONTION YOU USE?

  • @orestegarciaderossi I used just all the reverb , and got that same tone. Try some reverb.

  • tabs??????

  • CONGRATULATIONS!

  • he was showing u all to fuck off

  • how can i get that sound saul does? (slash) my line 6 spider 3 is crap

  • @tenisballss spider 3 is the best amp (15,30) in its range

  • @luvgory well thats helpful >.> i meant what FX do i need to get that sound? and the amp is old so it is crap. (plus line 6 cant use pedals (not most of them) )

  • @tenisballss I don't really use any effects on this one other than maybe a touch of reverb, and you could probably get away with a little bit of delay. The key to most guns n roses solo is to use a humbucking pickup in the neck position to get that really fat tone he's known for. Other than that, a good saturated distortion with a touch of reverb will get you in the right zone.

  • @tenisballss actually there are wah wah pedals that u could connect to any amp (even spider 3 15 ) for ex. rocktron classic wah pedal you will jst hv to buy an extra lead plus i think u should add a bit of reverb ot tape echo(tap delay should be long) and play it on insane with a little distortion

  • @tenisballss I hate line six, they suck ass!!!

  • Thnx neosonic on this great lesson :) I got this solo in like one hour and i was just listening and watching and its way better than staring in tabs and mmm yea i'm playing guitar for like month and a half...Nice Lesson mate ;) thnx once more :)

  • ty dude 4 a great lesson i have watch the music video and tabs millions of times but this was awsome you shoul keep doing lessons!!!

  • What i love about gibsons : Even mistakes sound good! :D

Not to say anything about the guitarist (i just inspired this)

  • very good

  • hi whaz up

    could u give the tabs

    its easier to me ._.

    whatever

    igive u 5 ;)

    seeu

  • could u show me the tabs ....

    xD

    its easier to me ._.

    whatever

    I give u 5

  • great shit man!!

  • sick man thanks

  • first i thought that there's a snake on ur shoulder..btw nice tutorial.

  • mate your going a tad too fast you dont tell us what notes to play and wat type of bends they are like tone bends or half tone bends

  • @MrMoppy211 I don't mean to sound rude, but I feel like telling people every note, providing tabs, and all that is hand-holding. I found for me that listening to a phrase over and over again and matching it by ear is by far more rewarding than being told what to do. Once you struggle through that process a couple times, it becomes much easier and easier and you'll never need to have people walk you through a phrase again

  • @neosonic66 ahk fair enough it just makes it easier for people who arent as good at guitar

  • @neosonic66 I agree with you. I like to watch what you're doing and then mess around until I get it right. I remember it a lot better than reading the tab.

Thanks so much for the video. I always wanted to learn this.

  • @neosonic66 @neosonic66 i agree totally man, ive only been playing guitar for a few months and playing by ear like this is definatly the best way if you want some personal satisfaction! besides do you think all the best players sat for hours and learned by reading tabs? no.

anyway good video neosonic! i love this shit and have enjoyed learning what i can from this video

  • Comment removed

  • @neosonic66 That's the way to go, thanks.

  • @MrMoppy211 no offense or anything mate, but if he didn't tell us what notes to play, it wouldn't be a lesson. just saying

  • @MrMoppy211 sorry i misread your comment, i thought you were telling him not to tell us which notes to play. again sorry

  • @MrMoppy211 I think he made it so very clear and easy to understand and if you still cant play or cant figure out the note by yourself, I suggest you to play an easier song

Full or half tone bend isn't that hard to figure out by yourself, come on youre playin guitar !!

  • @sayplays yeah i know i was just used to lessons where every note was given

i can play it now anyway which im happy about, its a great song

ive just been taught to play a lot differently to this aswell

  • @MrMoppy211

FAST? C'mon! If you can't keep up with this video you probably are not ready to play it.

  • send tabs pleaze

  • nice one man great solo

  • wht brand of les paul is that

  • este tutuorial esta para la chingada porque no pone los tabs para poder saber las pisadas ya que no se puede comprender las pisadas

  • que pastillas tiene??

  • nice lesson dude. Sub added. Take care.

  • Fast part: 3:08

    Fast part played slow: 3:16

  • we have the same compputer :o and nice tutorial i like =[)

  • genial bro

  • great long time I was looking for someone to show the hard ams of the single, fast, in slow motion you are a big

    very good temper !!!!!!

  • great long time I was looking for someone to show the hard ams of the single, fast, in slow motion you are a big

    very good temper !!!!!!

  • wow your guitar is awesome great job !!!

  • nice tutorial man, there a second lesson somewhere i couldn't find it?

  • @dombag85 yes, please see the video description as I can't put URL's in comments

  • @dombag85 great long time I was looking for someone to show the hard ams of the single, fast, in slow motion you are a big

    very good temper !!!!!!

  • Need some pedal effects for this one?

  • wow, you are perfect !

  • Is it ok if I pull down instead of up?

  • doesn't matter, you can bend either way, whichever is more comfortable and more natural for you, as long is it doesn't interfere with whatever comes after your bend

  • yes its just hopefully easier

  • thank you very much

  • dude, this isnt a lesson/tutorial, your just proving u can play it basically, might i add you play it very well and nice guitar btw, we need to know each individual note to learn it :<

  • i go through each individual note, you need to play it over and over and use your ears, not rely on tabs, force yourself to play by tones and before you know it you'll be picking up songs without ever using tabs as a crutch again! and yes, skip to 1:24 to get to the lesson part

  • this is not tutorial..

  • you have to have the attention span to make it to 1:24

  • Slash uses thick strings , so he tunes down to loosen the tention in order to make pulls easier

  • r those emgs in that guitar?

  • because slash is tuned down

  • tip for the ppl who dont want to tune their guitar a half step down, just play the the notes a fret before, like if it were the 8th fret, move down to the 7th fret, because a half step down is supposed to sound a fret down from standard. hope that helps anyone who feels a bit lazy to tune their guitar a half step down or doesn't know how to :)

  • why down tune in the first place? makes no sense

  • yeah but that doesn't work if there are some open string notes

  • lol @uipatnact Damn i having the same problem man! cant even solo's start. my new strings suck!!

  • My hard strings cutting my fingers fuc...

Its hurt :D , but I must learn it! because its the best solo I know!!... :D Its make my cry!!! :D

  • Cool guitar :D

  • this is my favorite solo of all time!!

  • det is a nice solo love it <3

  • I need of tabs musics from AC/DC! You know? make videos taught! thanks!

  • wow you are badass man!!!! sick solo

  • I like the way you teach man! GOOD :)

  • How do I get that sound???

  • i hav ethat logo tatted on my throat but with out the name and yellow circle.

  • tabs?

  • GRAZIE!!!, THANKS!!

  • im going to be learning this in a couple weeks, and this is going to help me so much! thank you! keep posting please!

  • what amp did you use?

    btw, great sound and playing.

  • thank you, this is on my now broken Marshall TSL-60... it's since been replaced with an ENGL Fireball

  • if not 440, which is it?

  • hey man great lesson and tone!

could you please tell me your amp settings for this please?

  • GREAT JOB!!!

  • very good lesson the only thing i missing that everyone one november rain lessons misses its to tell what fret your playing and string on every note

  • Just watch the video and count the frets! starts at 8 ;)

  • also, if you're in the right area, you can just match the tone using your ear, that will benefit you so much more than just using a tab or me telling you everything

  • muchas gracias men

  • graciass man

  • how much is it roughly for a Epiphone les paul. i have a B.C. Rich Warlock and Warbeast, but they dont get the right sound.

  • you wrong

  • could someone explain wtf he was playing after 3:02?!

  • dominant1598 , it is 12th fret second string hope i helped

  • IMHO, you played the fast part a little too fast when you did it in slow motion. Or maybe i'm too slow to keep up :). Either way, I subscribed. Nice job and nice guitar. What amp?

  • IMO That gibson custom doesn't deserve EMGs lol.

  • Nice guitar

  • Agreed (Y)

  • what effects you using?

  • erm at 3.20 wat fret and string is it? i rli cnt see. thanks dude

  • Creo que deberias bajar el pulgar un poco porque parece que vayas a hacer una cejilla. Es algo que tiene que ver mucho en la forma de tocar y aun mas en el estilo. ¡Buen Video!

  • no, it's a gibson les paul custom in alpine white... check out my 'gear update' videos if you want details on all my guitars and amps

  • sure I will man...

  • you really should explain it more and play it a tad slower, but with some tabs and your video i got it!

    ty!

  • Good but sometimes I can't see which frett you're playing .

  • Any chance that you have tab associated with this lesson?

  • oh nice lesson... my ass for who is this lesson pros or beginners?
