Starry, starry night. Paint your palette blue and grey, Look out on a summer's day, With eyes that know the darkness in my soul. Shadows on the hills, Sketch the trees and the daffodils, Catch the breeze and the winter chills, In colors on the snowy linen land. Now I understand what you tried to say to me, How you suffered for your sanity, How you tried to set them free. They would not listen, they did not know how. Perhaps they'll listen now.
Thank you, it felt just as beautiful for me to make them all, since I was a Starry Night fan since childhood. It was a very cyclical experience. I am so glad you enjoyed it.
Nice job, my favorite painting by van Gogh. Nowdays he would make amination movies to i guess!
Iam into 3D, making theYellow House in Arles in maya, i will try some texture and bumpmaping the way you did so it looks more like a painting. (i will post it when its a little bit done)
Thanks for posting this, great inspiration to us all!!!
ah, great finally someone with a good taste. Art, good ( classic ) musik. That combined with an outstanding modern computer artist gives an exellent outcome.
Go on like this, and you'll get many compliments.
Thank you. I chose the sound track I did because it is closer to Van Gogh's actual time. I also like the feeling of building that Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers evokes, which goes with what my animation is doing (showing you from the start how I created it). The other factor is that I don't know who owns the copyright to the more modern song, this audio is royalty free so I don't get in any trouble : )
:))) Passion is not obligatory deprived of tenderness :))) That´s what both Tchaikovsky and I are all about, that´s why I love him. Beethoven is acctually my second fav, but I experience his passion as somewhat destructive.
I used 3DS Max for the houses. I used photoshop to make the other parts and textures, I then put them all together in Combustion. Thanks for visiting!
This is quite good. I hope your work can add to the hopeful revival of the classical arts. Kudos and thanks to you. A real credit to the Youtube community, this. I shall rate a five and subscribe.
Perhaps you can help me with a question too, I noticed a whole lot of folks visiting this video today, do you happen to know why? The song is: Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovsky (for more about this animation click the "more info" link, under my name on the right.
Its on one of youtube's suggestion lists. like when you first log in there is a panel available with featured things that they recommend you to watch and this was one of them. and also on the videos being watched list i believe. i must say that it is quite beautiful and entertaining. Good Work
The reason why I chose this soundtrack is because it is the same general period (slightly after) - so it was more relevant to the time than a more modern song would be. Also as a working artist if someone wanted to buy the use of my animation say for TV or movie, this soundtrack is royalty free music, so there would be no copyright issues like some other music may have.
