Great drumming man! Only one thing to add: if you listen carefully from the minute 3:00 ("from the blackboard" part) the hi-hat with your left foot is played in triplets all the way til the end, but it's just a detail.

Its resonance between the toms and the snare. Some masking tape on the bottom of your snare should fix that.

Tune your either snare or your tom higher or lower. My tom does it too ( very, very little ) but when i play with bands you wont hear a thing so i just left it !

I wanted to ask about your hihat hardware on this video. How are you getting that great 'slop' in the upper cymbal? I think I'd like that to use that loose feel I see in your hihats on my own kit. Thanks!

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying them and benefiting from them!

The slop (good word!) is achieved by loosening the top hat. As you can see, it's pretty loose... not too loose, though, or it will fall off while playing.
