Triangle of life DOESN'T WORK!! You can't accurately determine where the ceiling will collapse and if it will even collapse at the correct angle to produce the triangle of life! If you get next to a table everything is free to fall on your head, from lights to large pieces of the ceiling. A sturdy table is your best bet, if not 100% guaranteed. NOTHING is 100% guaranteed in an earthquake. The movement of the ground varies depending on the type of fault and magnitude of earthquake.

also you need a GAS MASK, MASK or THINGS THAT MAY COVER UR FACE incase you get TRAPPED in ur HOME.

The TRIANGLE OF LIFE can or CAN'T help you. All you just do is get a pillow or a thick book and go under a STRONGLY BUILT table or desk. after the quake.. get out of your house if you can... blow a WHISTLE Just in case you get trapped. You also need this things

-flotation device *if you get in a tsunami disaster*

i think i would take a chance and go out, i dont live in a big city with big buldings and windows everywhere, if i stay inside i dont think someone would go to get me out of there.

@ShinobiAkiraYuki Um they don't guarantee 100% that you will survive by getting under a table. They are just saying that it gives you your best chance of survival in the case of a collapse. They are not saying that you will be invincible like the Hulk if you go under a table. It simply just improve your chances. Experts have studied crumbled buildings in hundreds of earthquakes, and in many cases (not all) but many cases, the table is still standing and everything around it is crushed.

NO YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG you have to get beside a STURDY desk or table as the ceiling falls down it makes a triangle which gives you more protection IF YOU THINK IT IS FALSE look up triangle of life

first of all if you live in a place where there are frequent earthquakes, your an idiot. Second of all if you do then you should already be well prepared so have fun dodging falling buildings if thats where you want to live for the rest of your life

This is ridiculous. Getting under a table or any other piece of furniture is suicide. All the children who died in Mexico City's big earthquake were squashed under their desks! Only three survived, and they were NEXT TO THEIR DESKS, where a triangle is created. I cannot believe that some people still believe this shit!

You need to have supplies in a least 2 different places one inside and one outside. Even if it is just having a kit inside your car it helps increase your odds of survival. Also, make plans with your friends of family who don't live in the same house, to share supplies if need be.
