  • this song is really like the shit love lou reed and sweet jane though heroin is a better song and walk on the other side very nice chill music to smoke toooooo haha

  • I absolutely love this song in all its recorded versions and I always will. I cannot tell you what it all means, though. This version, which I think was the original released recording, comes closest to making some kind of sense because Reed is actually phrasing the words for sense. I also love the la la la coda, which tends to be cut from his harder rock later versions.

  • I can't remember you recorded it first. It's about Jane Fonda.

  • This a amazing song, is genial and only one. The velvet Underground The best best. LOU REED IS A GENIUS.

  • The best version, I think.

  • @hartmusc the best "version""" it's the original!!!

  • @neto4346

I'm afraid I have to disagree with both of us on that point.

I now realise the outro sounds like it was taken from the track "Satellite of Love", suggesting it was probably neither the original performance, and not (in my opinion) an improvement. I'd never heard this adulterated version prior to YouTube.

O.K., you might be Lou Reed in disguise, but I won't tell anybody else!

  • @hartmusc agree 100%. love the rock and version too. lots of energy.

  • That's a good song,i'll remember pretty moments in my life,Sweet Jane!
