  • leave them all behooooiiiiiinnnnd

  • Ha! MBV are god, RIDE have written some great songs though and plenty of boring ones when you go through their albums.

  • I was only 16 when this was released, I liked it but I weren't a bloody shoegazer.

  • MBV is to shoegaze as Nirvana is to alternative. Everyone starts off listening to MBV, then finds bands like Ride, Slowdive, Pale Saints, ect. who are SOOOOOOOO much better.

  • Always pisses me off when lazy journo's describe Andy Bell as a bassist turned guitarist...

  • I like Ride a lot, but I had to vote this down because of the crappy tags, the most offensive of which were Oasis and Britpop.

  • @kanhende Haha, golden showers, doggy and anal. Whoever posted this is a fucking tool for putting these tags.

  • @kanhende the goatse one was pretty hilarious.

  • Shoegaze ftw!

  • MBV guys. Come on. They were so listenable. My personal favorite was Slowdive though.

  • This is probably one of my favourite shoegaze songs

  • I have always loved shoegazing. My favorite kind of music

  • love to play this bass easy and enjoyable!

  • The drums kill it in this song... Brilliant tune!

  • RIDE were my favourite band in 1991-1993, pretty much documenting my school years. BIG RESPECT

  • Only one word can describe this.......... Immortal!

  • muita foda.. muito bom

    hehehhe

  • The only problem with this video is that it cuts off the freakishly awesome instrumental intro. Otherwise... *love*

  • wow....my fav band when I was 15...posters all over my bedroom walls....fantastic to see this all these years later!

  • Thumbs up if Cass brought you here.

  • @LiamM4 yes it did but i remember seeing these live a few times and used 2 have all albums....cass just reminded me

  • Thank you.

Got this on 12" when it came out first!

  • Go the Ride fans! First CD I ever bought. What ever happened to these guys anyway?

  • Just been watching BBC 4 had to find this song! Takes me back fucking awesome!

  • I've been looking for this video for ages. Class. Thanks for posting it.

  • soundtrack for 90's teenage angst

  • @Brascofarian uh... did you mean to leave this comment for some other video you were watching at the time? What the hell is angsty about this - or any - RIDE song?

  • @gumpish Hmm, I guess for me the distortion and subdued vocals, plus the sense of escape in the chorus. Maybe it's just that I was an angsty teenager when this came out and it resonated with me. Maybe have a look at the lyrics to "Nowhere", "Time of Her Time", "Castle on the Hill" and particularly "Going Blank Again" and "Decay"

  • the way it breaks down and picks up again just bliss:)

  • @crazylullaby MBV may have invented shoegaze, but Ride made it just so darn listenable...

  • @FraggleH I think you're totally wrong.

  • their best track, inspired by THE WHO

  • MBV greatest shoegazing band? Heh, that's your opinion and I definately don't agree. Yeah, MBV is a pretty good band- but whenever I listen to their albums, their material isn't solid. There's always two or three songs I skip on the album because their garbage. However, Ride's albums-- I listen from beginning to end, and love every second of it. In my opinion, Ride is loads better than MBV, and this song is probably one of the greatest shoegazing songs ever.

  • @GrockJake I pretty much agree with you here. I can listen to Ride albums from start to finish. My favorite of this genre is actually Lush. I love the shit out of them. I guess they hold a special spot with me as I grew up hearing Lush all the time from my sister playing them.

  • The greatest band in shoegazing was obviously MBV (My Bloody Valentine).

  • @crazylullaby - that was my first thought, too.

  • This takes me back to when I was a kid and had a huge crush on Mark Gardiner. Happy days :)

This song is no less awesome than it was 20 years ago (or exactly whenever this was...).

  • great post thanks

  • wow,I was a huge fan of ride when I was 15! Really brings back the memories...thank u!

  • ROCKIN; wheels turning round.....,

  • Get a chance to married sexy Asian girl lushfmlk.info

  • FUCKING KILLER GUITAR RIFF AT 3:07 WOW!!! GREAT , FANTASTIC MELODY.. LOOOVE RIDE 4 EVA!! CHEERS :D

  • They were great live and this is a great song, probably their peak but it's much better if you get the whole length of the song as it is cut short here.

  • big tune!

  • @loafoid what does shoegazer meen?

  • @harrybaws12345 they stare at their shoes?

Is it really hard to work that one out lol.

  • @orsonkarte well tha was an anti climax!

  • I first heard this song on the Cass Pennant Film and thought what an awesome song, superb, thank's for posting
