man i have been trying to make videos as good as harmony korine for years, if ya click on my name theres some on my channel actually ill post one here
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "SAM ZURICK" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
I love how the awkward kid from school everybody picks on ends up on Letterman discussing about one of the most controversial movies of the decade that he wrote when he was 19. I love Harmony Korine.
wow, letterman managed to follow up a godawful joke with an even worse one.
harmony seems awesome from watching his letterman interviews, i can say for a fact though that his wife Rachel is extraordinarily kind and sweet. One of the nicest people I've met, and this was apparent from the first second I met her.
He's so awesome if you ever get the chance to talk to him. I met him in Nashville and we had dinner. You can definitely tell there's always something "different" goin on upstairs lol
Why are the audience laughing at EVERYTHING he says? So goddam dumb. They're clearly not all that amused by it. They're just being sheep. It's the same with his other Letterman appearance.
WOW. I was a big fan of the movie when it came out. Had no idea Harmony did Letterman to promote it. I love how it's weird and tense the whole way through and you can't quite tell if Letterman's pissed or into it, and then the cigar kinda tells you that all is well.
Harmony's a genius, listen to his influences. Very cultured, very articulate when directing. Just an odd guy, just a quirky personality. He makes me feel alot better about myself and my own oddness.
I just saw Kids and didn't altogether think it was amazing...the acting was great, and the writing was excellent in it's style, but the substance/plot/point is lost to me.
Can someone explain/help me appreciate it? don't give any bullshit like "you have to get it" or some shit like that
@TaffyRaphie Maybe Harmony Korine just isn't the director for you because I've enjoyed the movies I've seen by him, I like them and their unique kind of style. I wouldn't recommend them to a casual film viewer though.
@MordaciousFilms I'm not a casual viewer, I would say I'm a cinephile. Upon viewing Gummo a second time I do like it more actually. I enjoyed a lot of the visuals, the writing and the acting. I suppose the theme/point I thought wasn't great (if I'm right in what I think it is). Maybe they will grow on me more. I'm a massive Paul Thomas Anderson fan now, but I thought There Will Be Blood was terribly boring the first time I saw it
When Letterman says "I could pretty much have this conversation with myself" I thought to myself, 'well he missed out on the opportunity to have the most boring unfunny moment ever caught on camera.'
The reason he's so out of control when interviewed is because he has a very short attention span and other small disorders that make it very hard for him to stay on track and within one topic for long without his mind going crazy and branching off.
I know there's a lot of David Letterman hate here, but I think this interview is awesome. It's a battle of wits Harmony vs David. Harmony is doing his own thing with his 'strange' dialogue and David is only trying to respond. You need David's side to make the interview great otherwise it would just be boring.
"how do you write a book" is probably the most stupid question to ask a scriptwriter. what is the writer supposed to answer? tell this idiot how to write a book?
I think people tend to mistake random non-sequiturs as being deep. It's more effective for comedy which is why Korine get so many laughs. If he focused on an idea and explained it through, he'd be better received.
You can see from the sidebar on this page that Letterman has had Korine multiple times to give him a national forum to speak about whatever he wanted. Letterman and the audience's reactions to it are irrelevant. Both of these guys knew what they were getting into and fed off one another. All of this shit-talking on Letterman is incredibly silly to me.
On every interview he has with letterman, he gets so pissed off that everything thinks Harmony is hilarious and doesn't really give two shits about his stupid commentary.
Letterman is a cunt. Harmony is one of the best things that happened to cinema. And alse He shoved Meryl Streep in the green room, i like this guy even more!
