circumcision is optional in Islam. Its not mentioned in Quran.Unlike Judaism islam does not deem circumcision as symbol of purity or superiority. @faheem In the Quran there are many instances where the angel Gabriel does more damages to Allah. For example: One who deceives is a liar, a fraud, and a cheat. In the angel’s attempt to speak well of Allah’s characters, he pus Allah is a class of liars, fraud, swindlers, and deceivers. Quran 4:142 reads, [The Hypocrites - they seek to deceive Allah but it is Allah who deceives them.] Question: If Allah and the hypocrites are deceiving one another, are they not all hypocrites (frauds)?

circumcision is optional in Islam. Its not mentioned in Quran.Unlike Judaism islam does not deem circumcision as symbol of purity or superiority. Arabs used to do that even before the birth of moahmmed(pbuh) as arabs were children of abraham through hagar. Abraham practised it . May be due to health purpose.
