@Lufttygger306 M16's are good for longer ranges. Same calibre as the M4 but I know a lot of guys have said they'd rather use the M16 in firefights where range is important because of it's longer barrel. My guess though that the reason they might be using them in the matrix is 'cause the Agents are assholes and don't want to pay the security staff what they're worth by saving money on M4's, or maybe they want swat guys with longer ranged rifles if the building is attacked by incoming helicopters

Funny how all the security guards are White men, along with all the other 'bad guys.' With Hollywood's focus on diversity, it almost seems like they chose White men exclusively for those roles, otherwise what are the odds of all the 'bad' characters ending up as one particular race? And of course that question leads to asking yourself what they were trying to say by CHOOSING only one race for the antagonists.

Sorry to say this, but you're all wrong. That varient of submachine gun eats a couple kinds of rounds; one of them being 9mm 'kurtz' (A shortened version of the 9mm round) and another I believe was used in the Mauser semi-auto handgun.

Those shell casings you saw were 5.56 rifle brass that the production had left over from all the M16's on set. They just reused them.

just because they have a narrow end does not mean they are for an "assult rifle" it just means that the rounds are either interchangable or it means the rounds maybe were desighned to be that way so they have a smaller bullet, ie an smg, but have the power of maybe an automatic rifle or automatic weapon :D
