Sony Vegas is not like AAE. There is no Camera rotation tool in Sony Vegas .. so u could move only the Layers around your point of view. It gives me headaches..but unfortunatly i thing there is no such an option included in Sony Vegas. Even 3D is not 3D. AAE is another thing ofcourse.
I tried the orbit tool and all it would do is spin the flouirish around, i couldnt move the camera in or out or left or right when i did it. =/ i tried all that u said before.
Switch from 1 view to 4 views on the project screen. This will allow you to control the camera in X, Y and Z space without happening to deal with changing values.
That was made in vegas, not AAE. You may have downloaded the flourish animation, but YOU did not make it in AAE.

I got them as a preset from Andrew Kramer of Video Copilot. Its a purchased feature. This was the first thing I ever made with this program.

Click on new layer, new camera, click ok, andgo to your orbit tool and try it. Idk if u did that already
