Gave my pint for christmas and plan to keep at it. The Red Cross now does double unit red blood cell donations. You get your blood back but they spin out the red blood cells. Pretty neat.

I've had to put up with a life of needles (once a day... yeah, it's fun...) - pretty much the reason that I have to do that disqualifies me from ever giving blood. I'm a sick little thing. =/ My grandpa makes up for me, though, because he goes in like every month or something. (Likes the free cookies.)

And I did donate blood for the first time several weeks back! It didn't hurt, and the people were really friendly. It's a wonderfully rewarding feeling to know that to save a life and decrease Worldsuck, all you have to do is get poked a bit.
