My 08 G35 vs 08 G37

I've went against a g37 sedan in my 08 g35s and the outcome is the same until maybe 110-120 is when you see the 37 slowly gain. The biggest difference in my honest opinion is that the g37's tranny is a lot smoother and gets a little bit better gas mileage other then that your comparing a red apple to a green apple.

Well, going by the magazine stats the G37 coupe should win against the G35 coupe. The best numbers I've seen for the G35 6MT are 0-60 in 5.5, 1/4 Mile in 14.2 @ 100.6 The best numbers I've seen for the G37 6MT are 0-60 in 5.2, 1/4 Mile in 13.8 @ 103.1

@98MAzdaMilleniaS Duuuddde look at the factory specs. An o8 g35 sedan and the subsequent g37 sedans weigh less than the G37 coupe. This is due to the large coupe doors weighing so much. G37 coupe best 0 - 60 = 5.2. G37 sedan 5.0 sec maybe less. So yea the sedan wins the drag race. Throw in some twists, turns, and obstacles and the coupe will take the cake having a wider, lower stance.

Not surprised... BTW, doesnt the G37 coupe weighs like 300 lbs more than the G35 sedan(3500 vs 3800, rounded)? Plus the G35 sedan came from the factory stock with its dual ram air intakes which add 3-4 hp, the intakes werent used when the SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers) tested the engine, therefore the 2007-08 G35 sedan actually makes 309-310 hp, even tho its rated @ 306. Which means the 07-08 G35 sedan actually has a slightly BETTER power to weight ratio than the 08-present G37 coupe...

@98MAzdaMilleniaS g37 coupe is rated 330 HP but yes weighs cerca 300 lbs more. I thought all of the new gen of g's, starting with the 07 -08 g35 sedan came with factory dual air intakes. I opted for the g37 coupe because there is now comparison in handling. Try drifting the sedan around a corner or simply weaving through and around other cars.

they tried to make it more tunable the stock g37block and drivetrain can hold 575hp without changing internals while the g35 can only manage 450hp before serious rebuild is needed

the vq35hr is just as strong as the vq37hr. the only upside is the 37 gains more whp for the same turbo kit and boost level due to the VVEL.

otherwise, they can both handle very similar power levels before stronger internals are needed.

Both cars are Auto and stock ,

and before testing we though that the G37 will win as logic say but the opposite happened

after couple of trial we switch cars , so i drove the G37 and he drove mine and nothing changed still the G35 is a winner !
