i think perfect does exist in some cases, take love for example, most of us are naive and never beleive in perfect until we fall in love with someone, then all of a sudden everything bad, is good. For that short while of naivity if thats even a word, we beleive perfection does exist, probably no wonder heartbreak is the complte opposite where everything is just "shit". lol so yeah i think perfection exists through the love or someone or something. i dare so tho depends how much you love somethin

@DaydreamingCrow If perfection led to dissatisfaction, wouldn't it cease to be "perfect"? This is a long shot, but perhaps true perfection is not truly "perfect", but leaves room to develop and strive towards the "perfect" goal...in other words, one could find a state of perfection in the continous drive to acheive the "perfect" state.

It was not his pursuit of perfection but his desire to complete the work (at the ignorance of the world around him) which was explored here. Perhaps the animators feel the same way, perhaps a reversal of themes (in that the animators neglect their real world relationships for the pursuit of an imagined and unlikely world.) is explored. I wonder if "Perfeito" has hidden meaning in Portuguese.

Perfection is not something achieveable. In the first place, the definition of perfection varies from person to person, but I'll go with my definition: having achieved the maximum of all characteristics in any given thing. Lets say i wanted to be the perfect animator. This is an unrealistic goal since no matter how great a cartoon I make, I could always animate faster, or draw better. Because of this, were forced to accept that perfection is something to strive towards and not something to have.

Please note that I speek of a universal perfection, so if you say "humans are perfict, that's how we live", it still won't count. That's just 1 area that's perfict, and even if there are much more (which I'm sure there are) it only takes one case of imperfection to undeniably prove universal perfection does not exist.

to understand the video, focus on the point in the middle where he had something imperfect, and he was truly happy. But then he questioned what he had, grew dissatisfied, and wanted more. he pushed it and pushed for perfection, and eventually came to a brink where if he pushed it more, he'd lose it, and it still wasnt perfect. and it never would be

perfection exists in some places, and is not meant to be in others. perfection is meeting a standard flawlessly. And with some things standards just very. physically, a person should be perfect if they are the flawless creation from their DNA. perfect to blueprint standard. but this varies from second to second, with cells. philosophically, we are all imperfect, but are not meant to be perfect. the standard IS imperfection, and it is those imperfections that make us perfect

As for perfection's existence, it's more of a state of mind and not a status. Would God create 6,000,000,000 imperfect people, and 1 perfect person? I don't think so.

Nothing and nobody can truly be perfect, but many things come close. Perfection, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. For example, the statues in Grease, the Greeks may have thought they were perfect but one may argue that the statues and the Greeks were completely flawed. I am completely indifferent to the matter.
