Great performance, but I think there could have been a more irregular accellerando, with its concomitant crescendo, like an expanded version of the final notes of the Composer's 5th Symphony, or , for another example, Fritz Reiner's treatment of thefinal notes of Waqgner's "Prelude to Die Meistersinger"----the tympani should ramp up to a final primal bash. Compare this performance with Kubelik's DG recording, or with The Philadelphia Orchestra's performance of 1/27/12-big difference!
