  • looks like a baby kit

  • this is actually informative......then practice doubles between hands/feet. then try paradiddles and paradiddlediddles

  • Why is he holding the stick from the wrong side?

  • @drorharush Some drummers prefer it because they get more power out of their strokes.

  • @drorharush After playing Latin and Jazz alot people tend to do that. I do it alot. its good for cross sticking

  • i love your vids. your lessons are of great value to me, and if you had a better mic system i would love to hear you play .)

  • nah i dont think its ludwig i think it is a pearl custom sensitone, ive got tht snare.

  • Looks like an old Ludwig snare. Nice

  • best way is to keep a quarter note ostinato on the hi-hat. 1 2 3 4. play two phrases -

    first, play a 16th note single stroke roll on the snare. 1 e + a 2 e + etc , keeping LF quarter notes going. no bass drum

    then on the 2nd bar of phrase play this-

    keep the LF going quarter notes, but play rh B lh B rh B lh B rh B lh B rh B lh B

    B = bass drum

    eventually as you progress you start adding different things with the hands - instead of R b L b, add unison hands, or flams etc

  • do you have any tips on how to learn songs because the tabs i find i very unreliable and i dont know what to look for i cant play by ear

  • learn to read music

  • This is even sicker when you switch off doubles from your hands to your feet.

  • the exercise works, but not how he's showing you. you sound like you've been playing for a few months.
