This is without catalyser I guess... and above that it only gains power at the very END of the power curve... ¿is it really worth it??? Don't think so. How many times do you use your bike in the red zone? If you do so, you should have your bike for the circuit. It's stupid to pollute more and use it in the street...

I was very happy with the result of deleting the stock lead pipes for CF slip ons. I think they were around 30lbs total & both CF mufflers & mid-pipes are like 4lbs, so there was almost 4HP just from weight loss & it transitioned from side to side faster.

I have a 2003 Z1K stock except for the airbox mod and better filter.

I'm 6', 230 lbs, my BMI indicates that my proper weight should be 175-190.

2 years ago I was 255 and went down to 214. Not only did the performance of the Z improved dramatically but the Booty Factor

hit the sky. What the Z1K needs is better suspension (ZX6R or Traxxion), and a sensible diet and exercise regime from the rider. Wanna make the bike lighter and faster? Start with yourself first. Cheap hp and good looks, HE HE.

I like the stock dual exhast better. To me there was not enough in sound and horsepower to justify the price on a full Akrapovic system. Don't get me wrong, Akrapovic is probably the best out there when it comes to exhaust, but they are also one of the most expensive. Unless you race motorcycles on a track for a leaving, why would u need more than 118bhp on a bike? The z1000 will tare up the pavement stock. Most mod's are over rated and get more ppl killed vs just enjoying open air riding!

u haven't tried that (nor any other it seems) bike with the stock and the aftermarket exhaust on to it. the difference is HUGE. middle range torque goes up (in some bikes) with nearly 1/3rd with addtional 5-10bhp to max. and the 10kg reduced weight is also very much of an improvement in any bike. the mods are not the ones that get people killed, it's the driver.

yes at a creaky 52, I fully understand these bikes that why I own one. No my point was, in my opinion, the small gain in power is outweighed by the effect on the overall look of the bike, bit like putting a 4 into 1 on the original Z1 900, it improved power but spoilt the looks.

I own Zx6R 2006. I just want to know about the servo motor on my 6r. What I read on the instruction of installing the akrapovic exhaust, we need to use the rotation limiter at the servo motor.

can I leave my servo motor as before? I don't want to open the servo bracket..

on zx 6r 2007-08, I don;t see they use the bracket provide to the servo motor.

When i put Akrapovič on my Z the engine didnt vibrate as much and the bike was more explosive , not to mention the sound of Akrapovič is amazing.
