leviathan is a sea monster referred to in the bible. in demonology, leviathan is one of the seven princes of hell and its gatekeeper. in hebrew it means whale. in old literature they often refer to leviathan as any great whale. so it isnt EXACTLY a whale, simply referred to as a whale.
