I've done this a ton of times... It has never once messed up for me, sometimes it fails to clone it because I accidentally miss a step, but it has never erased any pokemon, item, or data.

Hell, nowadays I can do it while I pay no attention to it and watch TV. Thus how I got a ton of rare items and transferred them to my game. And thus why I have 4 Latios and like 3 of each Groudon, Rayquaza, and Kyogre on SoulSilver.

every haha cloning rare candies is a bad idea at first, im all like OHH SWEET 99 RARE CANTIES XD, then u if u start to lvl up yo pokemon NON_STOP and but then if u put them in your PC they will somehow hate you and disappear FROM YOUR PC,

@silverchoas369 Wtf? Eventhough the timer doesn't progress past 999:59, it doesn't mean that all those things suddenly aren't possible anymore. Also, this is the real game and not on the emulator (and even then, the things you mentioned still work).

@spkchan If you did it wrong, there's no way to retrieve it, sorry. I suggest you practice with a Pokémon you don't mind losing before you actually try this.

You can clone up to 5 pkmn+item at the same time.

You don't have a chance on a currupt file either, it's perfect!

With new HGSS you can migrate all day! :D (TM's, rare items ^_^)

You can't use the legendaries for cloning itself, but you can clone them when you use other Pokemon for the cloning glitch.

You can lose a Pokemon if you do it wrong, but you won't lose data.

In all the years that I've been doing this trick, it has never failed me. Just make sure you save before you start.

And give it some tries with useless Pokemon so you get it hang of it.

you press Save, but restart right away. you'll go into the game infront of the lady where you stopped the save, and when you go back to your PC, it's also in the box you put.
