DiVa went from #2 to #20. Why do most singles in Oricon that do well on the first week then drop down the fastest the following week?

Yet those like let's say KARA didn't drop that fast? I seriously dunno why Japan's like that.

In most cases, the initial release and promotion brings in the bulk of the sales to get on the Oricon chart. Unless the song gets really catchy, the group does another big promotion or gets wide media coverage then it's all downhill from there.
