yeh, this isnt double bass, being a drummer, i would call this more of a dribble if the pedal, so after the first hit, you "catch" the pedal and bounce it back again, hence the seeming double pedal sound, it makes for a pretty awesome sound, and anybody who knows about drumming, its not about muscle, its about technique

Man I'm 12, and he is amazing, I'm still learning, I've been playing for about 5 months. I know some beats, my band plays more metal so I need a double kick pedal, and probably a crash.

I have 1 snare/, 1 tom, 1 low tom, a kick pedal for the bass, 1 hi hat, and a right cymbal. But tell him to keep working he is real good,. It's also amazing how he is usually looking at the camera and not even at the drum eh is hitting haha.

@ivasculiviu Not only should they look at the bass drum to see one pedal, but if they would watch his leg, they should see that he's playing that bass drum with those supposedly impossible muscles to develop at such a young age. This kid is good now, and will continue to get better. Too many people think everything they see is fake or some kind of "cheating" going on. Catalin plays some good drums.

First of all, he does not have the muscles yet to play with that speed on a single pedal, and second, I'd doubt it that with his 8 years he had 'a lot of practice', even though he sounds.. Pretty.. Consistant in comparison to other 8 year olds.

@Cisko116 It certainly is possible to get a double pedal sound on a single pedal. It's much the same way you can cheat rolls into going twice as fast with your hands by loosening your grip and allowing the stick to bounce off the drum and then pull tight again on the off-beats. In this case, you can gingerly hit the bass pedal with the middle of foot while your leg is descending, then on the off-beat you loosen your foot to extend all the way out as your leg is raising back. Voila! double bass
