  • It depends what kind of bluetooth module to use. A bluetooth module alone may cost $20 - $65 or more. An Arduino board costs $30 or so. The thing I used in the video is called ArduinoBT which includes bluetooth capability built in; the price of it may be higher than $100.

  • please tell me how much the bluetooth-hardware cost :)

  • I'm getting a N8 soon. I'm interested in writing code for the OS. I know a great deal of C++ and I'll be focusing on BlueTooth connectivity. Do you recommend any tutorials I should be reading?

  • @dellthinker I would recommend you to start with the LongTapDetectorEx example in Symbian^3 SDK (Nokia_Symbian3_SDK_v0.9 > examples > symbian > gui > TouchEx > LongTapDetectorEx). Then add the CConnector class to the project, so that a phone can transmit '1' or '0' depending on touch inputs. You can find the CConnector example at our blog.

  • I just say WOW :D

My wildest dream is to implement a little domotics with these "toys" but I have not enough skill :)

    Keep up the good work!

  • @pittsspiritspits forget it not that you can always learn it only if you are willing to spend time. Just like learning how to play guitar, just a little patience.
