Now, it's almost three years later and I life is still hard here in New Orleans. Everyday I ask myself WHY did I come back! Then I will see something that makes New Orleans so spcial and I well think...Yeah, that's why. Good food, good music, good people, good times. I think we value that stuff here now, more then ever. So ya'll come on down and have some fun. We "for sure" can show yall a good time.
Applicants for the Road Home Grants to rebuild are having their temporary rent payments and allowances deducted from the Road Home Grants. Gov. Blanco paid millions in bonuses to FEMA employees. FEMA attempted to deposit funds in my acct. in Dec 05. Bank said they couldn't find my account and returned same to the US Treasury. FEMA then declared me ineligible and requested funds return. Told if I signed STOP PAYMENT ltr. funds would be re-issued. Complied and still waiting. Disqual. revoked.
It's almost like any city in Iraq, but just as painful if not shameful. End the occupation of Iraq and let's rebuild our cities. New Orleans and Baghdad, two shinings examples of W/Neo Con domestic and foreign policy. Compassionate Conservatism at its finest. Heck of a job W, missions accomplished. Sexy Sadie, what have you done, you've made a fool of everyone. John Lennon, 1968. Another great voice for peace.

Much of New Orleans still looked like this when we were there in May of this year. It's criminal how the people of New Orleans have been neglected.
