The laws are a big part of why the USA is 1st world. Ppl can come to the US under our laws & make a fresh start. They can become fully American; while not President, but maybe governor of a state with an economy as big as all but a few nations. The vast majority of us, who are adamant about enforcing the immigration laws, are fine with legal immigration & embrace immigrants heartily. Our openness to energetic, ambitious spirit has served us well.
