Are the nano series devices any good?

I use a Macbook Pro + Novation X-station 25 and I'm curious about nanoPAD and nanoKEYS but not sure if they're worth their price (about 50-60 euros at my local music shop).

I think it would be really convenient to take just my laptop and something really small and lightweight like the nanoKEY to school (it's an art & media school) and other project meetings.

I have the NanoPad, its great for triggering loops and playing drums but thats about it. Im sure if you used the NanoKey and NanoPad together you could make some good music.
