Now I have to get to work on it again, your video has totally motivated me

Shit I saw the title 95 2.0L SOHC Neon and I thought well lets see what I could do with my Neon... Then I saw the faggy bumper, the fenders with Z3 style holes that don't do anything, horrible interrior, Lol spoiler on FWD car! Must I go on? The engine looks fairly stock I see maybe three things that aren't factory other then the colored replacement parts. (supports, air filter, and turbo). I give him props for the clear headlight covers... I need to replace mine (they're fogged over). POS

the clutch in a neon will go long before the tranny of course if you're doin burnouts on the regular then you'll blow the differential pin and it'll lodge in between the gears and blow the casing all to hell.....I drive a 97 neon coupe with a five speed this whacko is driving an automatic..and whoever argues that its not automatic is completely ignorant of cars in general....
greeleykid, Idiots don't bust tranny's in neons, the tranny's are junk! I have went through 4 in the one I had. I was running 13.7's all motor. If you have a SOHC, by a DOHC tranny, they have 3.92 gears, best for getting off the line. OH, don't get an aluminum flywheel until you get major mods.

@ctoedtman That's water from the A/C condensation. Might also be from the intercooler, though, but I don't know if they get condensation or if they're too insulated. But yeah, that's not oil, it's too clear, you can still see the grit of the concrete on the driveway.

Why on earth would you tune a neon? They have one of the WORST engines for reliability. and power. Plus they are cheap and ugly, I bought mine for $800, owned it less than a year, and I'll be lucky if I can sell it for $300, and it was in good shape with low km. These cars fall apart. Cheap plastic everywhere, and an engine that is less reliable than a boosted rotary.
ok dodge neons can be made to look and go good, they can be made to be pretty quick and handle good..but dressing them up like a childs toy car only robs you of any chance of respect from people out there.

The car definately looks god aweful, but that turbo really made the diff. I've got a 2.0l 2000 and that just hauls ass. And it's def a manual for all you idiots who can't hear the blow-off valve. Only problem I seen was it LOOKS ricer, and your rear swing arm looks about 1/2" from your damn muffler(Notice a loud THUNK when you hit big bumps? haha). With my car, I'm not even going to waste my time on the 2.0l, I'm waiting to find a 2.4l turbo and fill er up with all the goodies then drop it in.

What's lame about it? Learn something. Auto's keep the boost up between shifts, also auto will throw more consistant numbers than a manual. Also Auto's are faster in the higher cars.

Its a 95 dodge neon sedan white with crap grey accents, I installed a badass sound system myself, and I painted the bumpers and trim black...i wanna paint the entire car like a crazy green but im not to sure how to properly get the trim off the sides...any tips? oh and mesh grills? did you buy them or make them yourself?

Try any jap mid 80s sports car, those are light, and more reliable, I guarantee this POS blows the engine within a year of adding the turbo.

The car definately looks god aweful, but that turbo really made the diff. I've got a 2.0l 2000 and that just hauls ass. And it's def a manual for all you idiots who can't hear the blow-off valve. Only problem I seen was it LOOKS ricer, and your rear swing arm looks about 1/2" from your damn muffler(Notice a loud THUNK when you hit big bumps? haha). With my car, I'm not even going to waste my time on the 2.0l, I'm waiting to find a 2.4l turbo and fill er up with all the goodies then drop it in.

What's lame about it? Learn something. Auto's keep the boost up between shifts, also auto will throw more consistant numbers than a manual. Also Auto's are faster in the higher cars.

95 put out the most hp stock. In 96 they put a more mild came in to make it more drivable(ie reduce engine noise etc)

Hey, just last week I started up on my first car project. Its a 95 dodge neon sedan white with crap grey accents, I installed a badass sound system myself, and I painted the bumpers and trim black...i wanna paint the entire car like a crazy green but im not to sure how to properly get the trim off the sides...any tips? oh and mesh grills? did you buy them or make them yourself?
