There used to be a Little Canada. Now it's like Little Africa. Lisbon Street never had a foul odor with all the drunks, junkies, and whores in the 70's and 80's. You walk down the lower end of Lisbon Street now and it wreaks of all the Somalian stores. Oh well. Lewiston has always been the armpit of Maine.
I think this video cought all the parts of lewiston well I personally ahve been here 26 years and i am 26 years old.. you know i know this town is dead it is like a pit trap if you want a place to die and do nothing WElcome to Lewiston ..... if you want high prices lots of poverty welcome to lewiston.... if u want to see a packed DHHS building on just about every givin day welcome to lewiston... Good video! Everything was fine up until a few years ago. I live near Biddeford and see the same '"for sale" and "for lease" signs going up in storefronts.
Most of these businesses are small and related to service or retail. This is so 1980s. You need to have more than that for people to put up with the cold in order to live there.
this is why i moved away to Savannah Ga no jobs nothing to do no culture i used to love Maine have alot of friends there still but its ashamed this small city has slowly died away into the great nothing....

My point was, by the way, that your pictures of recession were minimal examples. There are buisnesses opening all over Lewiston too, if you haven't noticed.
If you want to see recession, visit a small town.

And Heartland sucked.... they made food that you can make at home, only really bland. If you want to stay around, you eventually have to change things up a bit.

Pizza Hut charges waaayyyy to much for pizza. High prices in a low income area? Great idea.

Most close because Lewiston sucks with giving businesses a tax break. They usually move to Auburn.
