  • @UnlimitedHPTV Nick Cave "to be by your side"

  • "The 'V' Formation Adds The Whole Flock Extra Flying Range.(...)

As each goose flaps its wings it creates an UPLIFT for the birds that follow. By flying in a 'V' formation the whole flock adds 71 % extra to the flying range. People who share a sense of community can help each other get where they are going more easily because they are travelling on the trust of one another."

  • @wudisciple36 Thank you, just the information I was looking for.

That's the secret of living in a global society that lives in harmony with nature.

  • Moving, this geese. Moving to tears.

    Mamaritiem

  • how were the shots taken? rc plane? very zoomed in camera from real plane?

    microlight?

either way any of those would affect the birds so this is unatural.

a bit like the double slit experiment.

  • wonderful documentary

  • So much cooler than humans

  • How very beautiful. I respect the geese so much for their strength. I wish I could fly .

  • How were these shots taken???

  • i wonder what the v would stand for..........

  • @prepgq Vendetta.

  • some types of geese fly very high in the sky when they travel. The highest altitude birds. They are fast also. Birds make any human pilot look like a amateur. Nature's aviators, they don't need oxygen masks to breathe at high altitudes either.

  • Did you see the funny white Canada goose on my channel?

  • birdy

  • Great, simply great.Congratulations to all of you.I f I could be of any help please contact me.I love birds, specialy geese, and migration of them. The ancients civilizations embrace them,so domany people.

  • hats off to the producers and cameramen...

  • nah man i really would rather shoot them!:)

  • Each season I see Canadian Geese fly over my home:) God what an inspiration:) I always stop what ever I am doing and pay my respects to them, meditate, smile and root them on in their quest for survival. I used the beautiful gifted creatures as a metaphor in my own life. Who was my leader, who did I follow, where did they lead me, and where am I now? What happened to our spiritual guide that always knows the best direction. "Follow Your Bliss"

    I miss you Joseph Campbell:(

  • How on earth did they get the geese to tolerate a plane literally up their ass. 1:20 - 1:24 for example.

  • @Bloodgod40 , they are actors. it''s the not the real geese

  • they are really goose

  • Hermosa música de una singular "obra audio visual"...

  • When I saw the lightning in the sky at : 2:27 , I almost want to shout to them: " persist! Don't give up! " .

Thank you for this wonderful post!

  • @MusicStreamInTheWind Ummm... 2:27? This video's less than 2 minutes long.

  • amazing - i have the movie... lucky me :-)

  • great to see this

pity you should use music here at all

  • those are not geese

  • @jumoseb2577 Huh?? Those are definitely geese................Barnacle geese

  • angibarford1@live.com

  • this migration of birds is very interesting. I thought about it before, but this video made me decide to finally learn more about it. I'll start with Wikipedia! :)

    Thanks for sharing, fascinating video!!

  • how was this recorded??

  • @gordonhall92

that's what i was thinking, then i thought they must have incredible stamina to sustain such rapid speeds, but I think they might just have been trying to get away from the aircraft following them, lol

  • bj

j'adore;elles passent au dessus de chez moi un vrai baromètre belle vidéo on volerai avec elles ...

  • very nice, I love to see this life, but meanwhile we are destroying half of the species here on earth. We need to keep this beautiful life on earth!

  • get the decoys set and shoot em when they come down

  • @bassmassterchamp3 I have a better idea - arm the geese so they can shoot losers like you that have zilch respect for the BEAUTIFUL AMAZING creatures we share the planet with and would kill it all if you had the chance..

  • Very relaxing!

  • this is really great the music is fascinating pleaseeeeee guys if some one know the name of the singer or the band send it to me by mail thnx.

  • @osama79us try searching for the winged migration ost (original soundtrack)

  • how do big heavy birds like these fly so long

  • I watched this in class. These birds are "imprint" birds. Raised by people..This was shot from a mini flying device with a camera and by some trainers. Really cool how they did it, but the migration was coached by the people with little horns and commands

  • ahhhh..... quel nostalgie......

  • I want to be able to fly like that!

  • It sounds like Nick Cave: To be by your side. You can find it on YT.

  • @TheFlimflim - & the pinkfoot ; yes, most definitely is nick cave.. i recognized his voice/style the first viewing.. was a bit surprised to hear him, and overjoyed!

  • truly fantastic and the music is perfect. Has anyone got clue who made the music?

  • @ThePinkfoot Bruno Coulais

  • @ThePinkfoot I think most if not all of the songs have been composed by Bruno Coulais.

  • Simply Amazing.

  • Quel bel oiseau!

  • Quelle détermination !!!!! impressionnant !...

  • wish this was much longer to watch. Incredible. Beautiful. Thank you

  • How did they capture the footage of the geese in flight?

  • they follow them in an ultra light aircraft or they attach a camera to one of the geese

  • They don't attach a camera on one of the geese, the shot would't be smooth like that and a camera that deliver image like these would be to heavy...

Those geese are trained early on as soon as the eggs hatch so they are not affraid of the ultra light aircraft and the noise of the motor.

  • They attach a webcam to the geese and use the "direct webcam upload" function on youtube.

  • they asked superman to help em do it

  • pretty.

  • Love this! Thank you.

  • this movie and the musik were magik!

  • I love this music so much. The Barnacle Geese flying over the lave plains of Iceland is so beautiful. the music seems to cpature the peril of migration of the birds, but the joy of life itself and the struggle to survive. Fantastic.

  • Semplicemente bello solo i migliori,

  • Enchanting .

  • this movie makes you realize that there truly does exist a God!

  • this is sooo good...beautifull sound..i have this documentary...its very nice and WORTH SEEING AND WORTHG SPENDING MONEY....

  • @426611 you're probably right. but i'll still just pirate it

  • hey does anyone know the name of a movie about a girl that owns a lot of geese and she flys a airplain with her dad and they were fllowing her and in the begining she gets in a car crash with her mom and then her mom died, so she had to live with her dad.

  • fly away home!

  • This a beautiful video, thanks so much for this...

  • this soundtrack is stunning.

  • its russian people who created this kind of music..and a team of them.......man soo heart touching music....i love it...

  • Cloud82man, I too have had to give away copies to get people to watch. It's my favorite movie, and totally unique. Too bad more people don't get it.
