  • They are manual tabs, I didn't know such a thing existed. Works well with your boarding ladder, good to see.

  • You think your Drive is old...lol. I got ya beat by years. Take the hydrofoil or whatever that is off the Drive. IMO, only, it puts more stress on the Transom. That's why I chose these. They're going on a 20 ft. C/C Corsair. 1967.

    Good vid!

  • Hi , i have just instaled the SX Tabs, and they are GREAT :-) Much less bow rise, quick planing...just great. I instaled them on Regal 2150LSC with 4.3GL i run it in sweet watter, instalation time 1,5 hour...by me and a friend. JUST GREAT

  • Hi Adam, the sx tabs just arrived from usa to europe, and i`m gona mount them this weekend, if i have some problems i will write to you :)

Im just looking at them, im wondering if the angle is O.K, something by looks its to liitle angle....if i can i will sand you some video, tnx

  • it was easy. I installed them last year, and do not remember any problems.

the main reasons the adjustable bracket isn't compatable is that the bracket what to be used for "trolling" with the flaps in the straight down position and that was only for the metal ones. I have had tremendous success with mine for trimming them up. At the lake I ski on I beach ALOT and it is shallow and slopes gradually so I need to trim up the tabs or they would get ripped off.

    hope this helps.

    Adam

  • Am looking at putting on the same setup on 20' Stingray. Only thing, retailer states the PR500 adapter is NOT compatible with the Samrt Tab SX composite. Was it a plug and play type install?

  • I have these for my Bayliner 1750 Capri with a 3.0 Mercuiser 135HP. For Bow wander and quick planing THEY WORK! Easily towed a newbie 240lbs skier with 170,170,220 on board plus gear. 850lbs is max. But...Composite is cheap to the touch. Hate the idea of Plastic bolt/screws (easy fix). Swim ladder/trailer tie downs interfered with ideal placement. Low speed drag feels strange like driving with anchor down. My boat slides a little MORE in corners contrary to claim. Highly Recommend! 8/10

  • Hi mate, thanks for posting the video. I just bought some and im waiting on delivery. I'm suprised theres not more videos on these things. That bracket you have is actually so the tabs can double as a trolling brake, but what you've used them for isn't a bad idea either. Post a video on weather they work or not... or just type a message?

  • where's the results????

  • I got mine in last week. Unfortunately up here in Rhode Island my boat is shrink wrapped and in storage till the spring,,,:(.

Let me us know how well these things work.

To be honest I thought they would be of heavier construction than what they are, plastic pins, and the material they used is questionable.

The piston I cannot compress, so thats a good sign.

I got mine for $99.95 @ motor head zone on ebay.

    Eagerly awaiting a review.

Thanks and Happ Holidays to all.

  • hi adam, this is a huge help for me. i have a 19' dusky that porposes when in little to no waves so i am considering on getting these versus bennet tabs. i live in Rhode Island so the boats away till spring,,,looking forward to see the actual results and your final opinon.

    thanks,

    Lance

  • Sorry,

yes, I do plan to post them... jUst have been really busy. And to be perfectly honest; the angle I took the film from didn't show the difference very well. Right now my starter is Kaput and am waiting on new parts. Will update when repairs are complete.

  • Are you planning on posting the performance differences? Im very interested in these. Thanks
