  • another mod revival......... jesus ! it was a joke last time round !

    FUCK A MOD

  • Maybe there are some but you haven't discovered them yet...:) Have you tried Social Media like Facebook yet? I That's alway a good way to find like-minded souls. Good luck!!

  • Just wish there some mods here in New zealand

  • Haven't got a Christmas present yet? Here's an idea:

    WE ARE THE MODS- DOCUMENTARY

    available through:

Live Forever Productions (just google the website)

WE ARE THE MODS explores London's vibrant and cross-generational mod scene by taking a closer look at mod fashion, scootering, music and mod art. The film focuses on why people choose to be Mods and what being a Mod means to the individual. Plus special features on vintage fashion, scootering and mod photography.

    Happy Christmas!!!!

  • what was up with the guy with the emo haircut? what was he thinking? is he trying to be a mod or in good charlotte?

  • Gary shail, quadrophenia nuff said! Good mate of mine x M-A TV

  • I think there is a difference if someone likes a certain genre and wears the fashion but doesn't take it too seriously and when people kind of overdo something and make it a farce to the point where it seems like a cosplay convention. To a degree many of the people in the 60s, as with any time would dress up but it's always more natural when it's not so methodical- I see a lot of people mimicking a fashion from years ago and it seems like a costume. That's where problems lie.

  • People can do what they like. The reason mods and scooters are still around is because its a great laugh and people look after each other.Something has gone wrong with this country and thats the lack of camaraderie. These guys have got a bit of that.Keep on doing what your doing guys and bollox to the ass holes that want you to stop having fun when your 21.Long live the mods.

  • Nothing wrong with holding on.Anybody that believes in having fun at nobodies expense is alright by me.

    Wheres the final product though??

  • @64roo hi there, that's great, thanks a lot! Yes, will do. Greetings to Oz! :)

  • Yo también fui un mod paseando por las calles del East London

  • I have been a Mod for over 30yrs. I wear Fred Perry and Ben Sherman. Also Loake boots and have a vespa. Not because im sad but the clothes are high quality and stylish and the R+B music is great. I saw The Like, a girl Mod band from the US a couple of days ago and they were terrific. Also seeing Secret Affair in October. Keep living the life.

  • @delavalhall

Jesus Christ....30 years and you still think Ben Shermans are "high quality"?

  • Oi Dotty...less of the saddo M8 OK? So wot if i'm pointing out that SA and the PH werent up to much! Thats a FACT...SA were Rubbish...then and now. So were The Chords The Merton Parkas...The ONLY band to bring the music to the people was The jam and Weller still does. Maybe I might have stayed a mod if the Music was Better but where the scoots and the clothes are still the dogs bollix sadly the tunes lacked behind. Anymore guff and i'll get Mick A Boy Forde afta ya alri... Big Up Mickey

  • @BillyGoggins well I would have to agree with the SA comment, they were crap then and a shear embaresment now pot bellies n all. I love classic bikes and scooters are a part of that , just stick a modern engine in it

  • The Purple Hearts and Secret Affair are still going are they? Imagine...not one hit record between em FFS. Millions Like Us....more like Saddos like us. These Boys (thats a piss take) are stuck in '79. Me and me Lammer LI150 (1961 Model) got outta that lifesyle in 82 when the kids took over the scene chasing every punk ted and rocker around Dublin. Time to depart....I discovered Real R n B and the LI 150 was written off. To all the Dublin Mods, The A BOYS Ruled and U kno That. Peace out.

  • @BillyGoggins you sound like a saddo. so what if you got out of the scene, does that mean everybody else should. if you like the music and clothes then whats wrong with being a mod.And whats a hit record anyway. ???? Means feck all.

  • Could you GET any more cliche?

I mean, Jesus Christ....from the title on down this is so superficial.

40-50 year old guys wearing parkas with targets, Union Jacks, and carnaby street patches? (CRINGE).

Dig a little deeper, or why bother?

  • @misterobvious Hi Mr Obvious

Naturally, second generation mods are in their 40-50's today. Many of them play a big part in keeping the mod scene alive so I don't understand your issue. Of course, you're right, being a mod is about so much more than just wearing a parka, but the finished film will express that it is a way of life anyone can choose regardless of their background or their age.

  • it is silly to see a man in his 50s try and dress like he's in his 20s. you can look sharp and age appropriate too. @liveforeverprod1

  • @talktal Hi talktal. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, of course. Mine is, that I don't care at all how anyone decides to dress at any age.

  • @misterobvious well yes alot of cliches abound , if you have the pot bellie try not to fit into the old look, define yourself with a new look, Mod is a state of mind so ur entitled to define your own look, no need for the weller haircut. be interesting. I ride a Royale Enfield with a leather jacket n boots and I'm more mod than these guys

  • whats the song? laurel aitken?

  • @SuperReyand James Brown, Night Train

  • No twist and go's !!!!!!!

  • Like many I have been a mod since 78 and MOd iis a way of life. Nice to see Dan on here and showing the fact that the mod scene is alive well and in constant renewal...with bands like Purple Hearts and Secret Affair keeping the old mod scene alive and newer bands like The Universal and The Shoestrung bringing a new element to the younger scene. Shame about the cliche Weller remark at the start though...

  • I'm in the documentray!!! The women asked if she could interview me and my mates in Carnaby Street about mods.

  • Sums up my way of life.... KTF....

  • This is fab!
